West Indies Captain Jason Holder
has ended 2018 as the number tworanked
all-rounder in Tests and in
the top ten of the bowlers rankings.
In the latest rankings announced
on Monday, Dec, 31, 2018 by the
International Cricket Council (ICC),
Holder has risen two places in the
bowlers rankings to l0, ensuring he
heads into the New Year rated among
the elite bowlers in the longest format.
As a result of his progress, he
also jumped two places in the allrounders
rankings, and is only now
behind Bangladesh captain Shakibal
Hassan.
His rise comes despite missing the
recent tour of Bangladesh through
injury.

Pybus takes
over as coach

Cricinfo has reported that Englishman
Richard Pybus has accepted the
job as interim head coach of the West
Indies team until the end of the Indian
tour of the Caribbean this year.
This means that he will be in charge
of the team for the showpiece ODI
event, the ICC World Cup in England
this year.
This was confirmed by Cricket West
Indies (CWI) Johnny Grave, who said
that the controversial coach will be in
charge of the West Indies team until
the end of India’s tour of the Caribbean
in September.
