New York debut of CELIA CRUZ – The
Musical!, a new and original musical
experience that celebrates the story
of the multi-Grammy Award winning
“Queen of Salsa” on Saturday, Nov.
16, 2019 at 8pm.
The dynamic two-hour multi-media
show features Celia’s signature
style and biggest musical hits such as
“Quimbara,” “La Negra Tiene Tumbao,”
“Tu Voz,” “Bemba Colorá,” and
“La Vida Es un Carnaval” performed
live by the international singing
star Lucrecia with the support of an
orchestra, dancers and actors.
During the show, Lucrecia makes
18 costume changes, wearing dresses
and wigs copied from Celia’s original
show wardrobe. See the beautiful
spirit of Celia Cruz on stage once
again! Her life, her music, her legend.

been named one of the newest Magnum
Tonic Wine ambassadors, according to
Haitian-American, Marie Driven, managing
partner of the Brooklyn-based
Playbook MG.
The Jamaican Dancehall Queen was
named alongside dancehall artist Ding
Dong.

Haitian and Dominican Republic legislators
in Brooklyn last Friday sought to
bridge what they described as “the cultural
divide” with the inaugural hosting
of “Quisqueya: A Celebration of Haitian
and Dominican Republic Heritage” at
Brooklyn Borough Hall.
The event – which was hosted by
Brooklyn Council Members Rafael L.
Espinal, Jr., Farah N. Louis and Antonio
Reynoso – highlighted the similarities in
the cultural Diasporas, and honored their
legacies and global contributions, while
encouraging the preservation of diplomatic
relations between Haiti and the
Dominican Republic “in order to unify
both communities,” according to Louis,
the Haitian-American newly-elected representative
for the 45th Council District
