Hofstra University
By regularly hosting major political debates
and opening the Donald and Barbara Zucker
School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell,
Rabinowitz has proved that knowledge is
power from his lectern leading one of LI’s top
universities, which is also presiding over the
campus with the men’s basketball team that
recently had the longest winning streak in the
NCAA.

Bruce Stillman, President, Cold Spring Harbor
Laboratory
As the leader of this eight-time Nobel
Prize-winning lab that famously discovered
the double helix structure of DNA, Stillman
oversaw the recent opening of the new $75 million
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Center for
Therapeutics Research and the lab’s discovery
of a new form of lung cancer last year.
