Michael Serao brings 19 years of banking experience to First
Central Savings including seven years at Commerce Bank in
Astoria, six years at Quontic Bank, and three years as Vice
President of JP Morgan Chase Bank in Astoria.
* As Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Serao oversees
the retail banking sector of FCSB including budgetary
issues, company sales and performance reports, devises
new ways to improve profits and customer service, and
researches the consumer base and competitive markets.
* Mr. Serao is the current Chairman of SHAREing & CAREing,
Board Member for QSAC and Chair of the HR & Finance
Commmitee, former Board Director for the Kiwanis Club of
Astoria/LIC, and previously served as an Advisory Board
Member to Immaculate Conception School.
* Mr. Serao was appointed to the Community Banking
Committee by the NYS Senate. He is also a Charter Member
of the Bayside-Whitestone Lions Club, former Treasurer of
the Clinton Democratic Club, and former Board Director
for the Variety Boys & Girls Club, and former Member of
Queens Community Board 1.
* Mr. Serao leads the philanthropic mission of FCSB securing
funding for nonprofits including: The NYC Children’s
Theatre, Metro Boys & Girls Club, LI Library Resources
Council, Freeport Educational Foundation, LI Crisis Center,
and The American Italian Cancer Foundation, plus many

Mr. Serao believes in the power of giving back. In 2018,
he personally donated over $100,000 in charitable contributions
to nonprofit organizations including $10,000
to the Long Island Crisis Center. He has worked actively
in the LGBT Community as a former member of OUT
Astoria and former President of the Western Queens
LGBT Democratic Club. He supports services for children
with Autism through QSAC as well as senior citizens with
disabilities. Mr. Serao is the Founder & CEO of Serao
Enterprises and is also the President and co-owner of
Guy Lombardo Properties, a multi-million dollar real
estate company along with his husband Dr. Fidel Abreu.
Honors include: HX Magazine Businessman of the Year,
Business Leadership Award from the Powhattan Democratic
Club, and Man of the Year from the LIC Kiwanis.
In 2014, the Huffington Post named Mr. Serao as “The
Banker Everyone Loves.” He is serving his final term as
a NYC Commissioner of Deeds. Mr. Serao is a graduate
of Queensborough Community College and NYU. He currently
resides in Hewlett Harbor with his husband and
two dogs, Bernie and Coco.
