Queens men arrested
after crashing into a
police dept. vehicle
Two Laurelton men were arrested
aft er crashing into a police car in southeast
Queens.
According to police, on Oct. 16 offi -
cers observed Kahmel Grant, 23, of 219-
12 130 Ave., driving a white Hyundai
Infant found unconscious
in her Queens home
Police are looking into the death of an
infant who was found unresponsive in
her home in Rosedale. At approximately
7:50 p.m. on Oct. 14, police responded
to a 911 call regarding a child at 253-
16 147th Ave. Upon their arrival, offi cers
from the 105th Precinct found 3-month-old
Laila Jones unconscious and unresponsive
with no visible signs of trauma to the body.
EMS responded to the scene and transported
Jones to Jamaica Hospital, where she was
pronounced dead. Th e Medical Examiner
will determine the cause of death. No arrests
have been made at this time and the investigation
is ongoing.

Man robbed senior
woman of over $4K in
valuables in Flushing
Cops are looking for a man who robbed
a senior woman who was trying to sell
her furniture at knifepoint last week in
Flushing. At 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, an
unknown individual responded to an ad
that the victim, an 85-year old female,
placed in the newspaper for furniture for
sale located within the vicinity of Maple
Avenue and Kissena Boulevard. Once
inside the apartment, the suspect put
$500 worth of alcohol and $20 worth of
tea in a bag. Th e suspect demanded the
victim’s ring, but the when victim refused,
he brandished a knife and demanded
the ring again. Th e victim complied and
the thief then fl ed the location with the
ring, which was valued at $4,000, along
with the bag of other stolen items, to
parts unknown. Th ere were no reported
injuries during the incident. Th e suspect
is described as a 45-year-old Asian
man who is balding and has a light complexion,
standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and
weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen
wearing a striped shirt, blue jeans and
black sneakers.

car. Keenan Grant, 19, was riding
in the passenger seat.
Following the crash, the suspects fl ed
the scene on foot and unlawfully entered
190-05 122nd Ave., where they were
arrested shortly aft erwards.
Kahmel was charged with reckless
endangerment, criminal mischief,
obstructing governmental administration
and criminal trespassing. Keenan
was charged with resisting arrest, reckless
endangerment, obstructing governmental
administration and criminal trespassing.

Cops looking for man who
sexually assaulted a woman
in Ridgewood apartment
Police are searching for a man who
sexually assaulted a woman in her apartment
located just over the Ridgewood/
Bushwick border.
At 10:35 a.m. on Oct. 14, a 24 year-old
woman was asleep in her bed inside a
residential building, located in the vicinity
of Halsey Street and Central Avenue.
As she was sleeping, an unknown individual
entered the woman’s apartment
and sexually assaulted her.
Th e victim was able to push the suspect
off , who then fl ed the location.
Th e victim was later transported to
Woodhull Hospital where she was treated
and released.
Th e suspect is described as a white
male standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and
weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen
wearing black hooded sweatshirt and
black jeans.
