announced on Jan. 21.
Authorities said that
Twayne Summers, 28,
was mortally wounded
Jan. 19 at 4:05 a.m. while
riding with two other men
inside of a black Hyundai
Sonata at the College
Point Multiplex parking
lot, off the corner of Ulmer
Street and the Whitestone
Expressway.
Officers from the 109th
Precinct, while responding
to a 911 call about
the shooting, found Summers
in the driver’s seat
with a gunshot wound to
the head.
A 37-year-old man in
the front passenger’s
seat sustained a gunshot
wound to his back; the
third individual in the
car, a 36-year-old man in
the rear passenger seat,
was unharmed.
Paramedics rushed
Summers and the 37-yearold
man to NewYork-Presbyterian
Queens Hospital
in Flushing.
Police said that Summers
succumbed to his
injuries on Jan. 20. The
other victim was listed in
stable condition.
During a preliminary
investigation, police said
that the three men may
have been involved in a
dispute with unknown individuals
at a local nightclub
earlier on Jan. 19.
The three men got into
the Hyundai Sonata and
drove away from the club.
Upon arriving at the
College Point Multiplex
parking lot, sources said
an unidentified shooter
in an unknown vehicle
drove up alongside the
Hyundai, fired multiple
shots, then fled the scene.
There have been no
arrests and the investigation
was ongoing.
The deadly shooting
occurred less than four
months after another
Brooklyn man was shot
and killed in the multiplex
parking lot early on
Oct. 1, 2018.
Jaquan Campbell, 25,
of Brooklyn, was gunned
down shortly after he
was involved in a dispute
at the Angels Strip Club
in Flushing.
Two suspects were arrested
in Florida weeks
later, and a third individual
connected to the
shooting was picked up
in November.
Sources familiar with
the investigation said
that detectives are looking
into any possible
links between the October
homicide and Saturday’s
double shooting.

Rich. Hill invaders
left victims tied up
BY ROBERT POZARYCKI
Detectives are asking
for the public’s help in finding
two armed men who are
allegedly responsible for a
violent home invasion in
Richmond Hill last week.
Law enforcement
sources said the caper took
place Jan. 16 at about 2:10
p.m. in the area of Myrtle
and Hillside Avenues.
According to police, a
32-year-old woman was
heading out of her residence
when the two unidentified
male suspects
approached her.
One of the crooks displayed
a firearm and
forced her back inside the
home, where they also
confronted a 34-year-old
victim, police said.
According to authorities,
the home invaders
tied up both victims. During
that process, one of the
suspects pistol-whipped the
32-year-old woman in the
head, causing a bruise.
After restraining the
victims, police said the
bandits searched the residence,
stole $500 in cash
and fled the scene on foot
in an unknown direction.
Officers from the 102nd
Precinct responded to the
scene. EMS units also responded
to the home, but
the injured woman refused
medical attention.
On Jan. 19, the NYPD
released video footage
of the two perpetrators.
Cops described one of the
suspects as a black man
in his 20s or 30s, standing
6 feet, 4 inches tall and
weighing 260 pounds.
He was last seen wearing
a gray hooded sweatshirt,
a dark jacket and
blue pants.
Police described his
partner as a Hispanic male
in his 20s or 30s, standing
5 feet, 7 inches tall and
weighing 160 pounds, who
was last seen wearing a
black hooded sweatshirt, a
dark jacket and gray pants.
