Authorities said the heist took place at 5:09 p.m. on Feb. 3 inside the Chase bank located at 51-15 Metropolitan Ave. on the Ridgewood/Maspeth border. According to law enforcement sources, the crook — described as a white woman believed to be 50 years old, standing 5 foot 5 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and wearing a black hat, a black coat and a black scarf — passed a demand note to the teller. The bank employee provided the woman with an undetermined amount of cash; the bandit then fl ed the scene, police said. Offi cers from the 104th Precinct responded to the robbery; there were no injuries reported. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 108TH PRECINCT MASPETH, LIC, SUNNYSIDE, WOODSIDE BANDIT IN SURGICAL MASK STEALS BUNDLE FROM BANK Police need the public’s help in fi nding a robber in a surgical mask who held up a Chase bank in Woodside last month. The NYPD released images on Wednesday, Feb. 1, of the suspect involved in the caper that took place at 10:10 a.m. on Jan. 30 inside the Chase bank located at 59-26 Woodside Ave. According to law enforcement sources, the perpetrator — described as a Hispanic male believed to be 25 years of age, standing 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds while wearing a blue surgical mask on his face and a black bubble jacket, a black cap, blue jeans and dark-colored gloves — approached the counter and handed a demand note to the teller. In the note, police said, the crook demanded cash and claimed to have a fi rearm in his possession. No weapons were displayed, it was noted. Seconds later, the employee provided the suspect with $908 in cash; the bandit then fl ed the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Officers from the 108th Precinct responded to the robbery; there were no injuries.
