VICTIM OF ASSAULT ENDS
UP IN HOSPITAL WEEKS
Police are looking for a duo who
caused a serious head injury to the
victim during an argument on a Sunnyside
According to authorities, at 5:25 p.m.
on Oct. 2, a 64-year-old man was stopped
in his car in the vicinity of Queens
Boulevard and 43rd Street when he got
into an argument with two unknown
men who were crossing the street.
Law enforcement sources said the
beef turned physical when one of the
suspects punched the victim in the
face through an open car window.
Following the altercation, the suspects
fl ed the scene eastbound on Queens
EMS responded to the location but
the victim refused medical attention
at the scene. But two weeks later, on
Oct. 16, the victim was taken to New
York-Presbyterian Hospital, where
he was shown to have suff ered from
bleeding on the brain as a result of the
assault. The victim is in serious but
On Nov. 4, the NYPD released images
of the assailants involved in the
attack. Cops described one of the suspects
as a black man in his late teens
or early 20s. He was last seen a white
T-shirt, black jacket and blue jeans. His
cohort is described as a Hispanic man
in his late teens or early 20s and was
last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket,
blue pants and white sneakers.

An alleged pimp believed to have
ties with Corinna Slusser, the missing
Pennsylvania woman who was last
seen at a Rego Park motel in September
2017, has been locked up on federal sex
traffi cking charges.
The FBI arrested Ishi Woney, 23,
in New Jersey on Oct. 31. He is being
charged in Manhattan federal court
on various sex traffi cking and other
charges involving the exploitation of
women, according to the court.
“As alleged, Ishi Woney engaged in a
vile form of exploitation, using force
and other coercion to compel young
women to engage in paid sex for his
enrichment,” U.S. Attorney Geoff rey
Berman said. “We will continue to
work with the FBI and NYPD to protect
prospective victims of human
traffi cking and arrest and prosecute
Woney is believed to have known
Corinna Slusser, 19, whose last
known location was the Haven
Motel located at 68-05 Woodhaven
Blvd. in Rego Park, not long aft er
she relocated to New York City from
According to police, Slusser was
the victim of an assault in the Bronx’s
48th Precinct about a month prior to
her Sept. 20, 2017 disappearance, and
cops feared she may be trapped in a
prostitution ring long before Woney’s
FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge
William Sweeney said that Slusser has
not been seen since her disappearance
at the Haven Motel.
