Borough President Adams took a break from marching in the Twilight Parade, hosted annually
by Brooklyn Pride as a celebration of the LGBTQ community, to sit down with young Brooklynites along
the parade route on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope.

Borough President Adams kicked off his 2015 School Lunchtime Concert Series, held in
collaboration with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and sponsored by Investors Bank,
by joining the guitar club at MS 577 Conselyea Preparatory School in Williamsburg before
their performance in Willoughby Plaza.

Borough President Adams honored fallen American soldiers on the occasion of Memorial Day during a wreath-laying
ceremony held at the Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park.

Borough President Adams toasted some of the over 150 of
Brooklyn’s Golden Couples that have been together 50 years
or more in a celebration he held of over 8,000 combined
years of their love at Brooklyn Borough Hall.

Borough President Adams showed off his chain stitch to volunteers at the kickoff of his
“Brooklyn Crochets for a Cause!” initiative, a weekly series of free classes by craft professionals
at Brooklyn Borough Hall; volunteers created crocheted squares which were joined
to make blankets or scarves that were donated to children with autism during Autism
Awareness Month in April.

Borough President Adams rallied organizers and supporters
of the first annual Sunset Park Puerto Rican Day Parade as
they prepared to march down Fifth Avenue.
