A fraudster used an Avenue T
man’s stolen credit card details
to purchase an airplane ticket on
March 6, police said.
The victim, who never physically
lost possession of the card, reported
an unknown charge of $669.03 to an
airline, as well as two other mystery
charges for $7.99. The victim
reported the incident from his home
on March 29, according to cops.
Subsequent investigation showed
the airline purchase was for a seat
on a Miami-bound fl ight from Chile,
police said.
Credit card thief
A con artist stole an E. 65th
Street woman’s banking information
to make numerous purchases
throughout March, police said.
The 62-year-old victim, who lives
between 56th and Nation drives,
reported on March 31 several unknown
charges to her bank card totalling
$1,491, according to cops.
Lottery loser
A robber stole $4,501 worth of lottery
tickets from an Avenue U convenience
store on March 27, cops said.
The perp got into an argument
with a clerk at the store near Hendrickson
Street at 10 p.m. before
pushing the lottery display over,
grabbing the tickets, and fl eeing,
according to cops.
Car shopping
A burglar broke into a car parked
on Utica Avenue on March 28 and stole
$7,399 worth of property, police said.
The victim told policehe parked
near Flatlands Avenue at approximately
10 p.m. and entered a nearby
electronics store. When the 33-yearold
victim returned 30 minutes later,
he found the passenger-side window
broken, police reported.
The perp made off with a laptop,
headphones, camera, and a backpack,
according to cops.

Backpack burglars
Two baddies robbed a man on
Surf Avenue on March 25.
One of the perps wielded a knife
as he approached the victim between
W. 20th and W. 21st streets,
while the other grabbed his backpack
before the two took off around
10 p.m., according to cops.
Tag team
Pillagers robbed a man at a
Neptune Avenue gas station on
March 29.
The victim was at the station between
36th and 37th street at 1:30
a.m. when one of the perps punched
him, causing cuts and bruising to
his face, police said.
A female baddie then stole the
victim’s phone and wallet from his
pocket while he was laying on the
ground, according to cops.
Parking punk
A punk stabbed a man during
an argument over a parking spot on
Coney Island Avenue on March 27.
The victim pulled his car into
the spot between Brighton Beach
Avenue and 10th Street around 10:45
p.m. when the baddie demanded he
move, according to the report.
The victim refused, and the perp
stabbed him in the stomach, causing
only minor harm, said cops.
Subway swiper
A thief robbed a sleeping subway
passenger aboard a Coney Islandbound
N train on March 27.
The victim told cops he boarded
the train in Manhattan, but fell
asleep before his DeKalb Avenue
destination. He woke up around 3
a.m. at the Stillwell Avenue station
in Coney Island, and discovered his
backpack was missing and his pant
pocket was cut, offi cers reported.

Madison mad men
Two thieves robbed a man at an
E. 16th Street park on March 25.
One of the baddies punched the
victim in the back of the head, while
the other grabbed his designer bag,
which contained multiple credit
cards and a cellphone.
The perps then fl ed the green
space near Avenue U at approximately
2 p.m., according to cops.
Backpack bandit
A brute assaulted and robbed a
man on Quentin Road on March 25.
The perp punched the victim in
the face before stealing his headphones
and a backpack while he
was walking home between E. Second
and E. Third streets at 9:45 p.m.,
said cops.

Vampire robber
Cops cuffed a woman for biting a
store clerk and attempting to steal
her purse at a Coney Island Avenue
bodega on March 30.
The employee at the store near
Avenue Y told police the suspect began
arguing with her at the checkout
counter when she attempted
to grab money from the store
employee’s hand.
After a brief scrum, the perp bit
the woman’s right hand, grabbed her
purse, and tried to take off at approximately
4:30 p.m., police reported.
The woman was detained and arrested
shortly after, cops said.
The victim was treated for her
wounds at Coney Island Hospital,
according to authorities.
Sneak-er thief
A pirate stole $960 from a man in
a sneaker sale gone wrong on Avenue
U on March 30.
The perp had arranged sell three
pairs of kicks to the victim, but
when he arrived at the meeting location
near E. 24th Street shortly after
10 a.m., the perp grabbed the money
and ran off, according to police.

Sleepy straphanger
A criminal stole a man’s cellphone,
identifi cation card, and
credit and debit cards — which he
used to make more than $130 worth
of purchases — by cutting open the
man’s pocket while he slept on a Coney
Island-bound N train at some
point between March 29 and 30.
The man told police he fell asleep
on the train after boarding at a stop
in Manhattan at 11:30 p.m., cops said.
He woke a few hours later, when
the train pulled up to the Bay Parkway
stop at W. Seventh Street, and
found that a crook had cut open his
right rear pocket and had taken
his goods, according to the report,
which added that the criminal then
used the cards.
Truck no
A lout stole a man’s credit and
debit cards — which he used to
spend $70 at a gas station — along
with $30 cash from his truck parked
on 73rd Street at some point overnight
on March 27.
The incident occurred at the
parking spot between 17th and 18th
avenues at some point after 7 p.m. on
March 27, police said, adding that
there was no broken glass or signs
of forced entry around the car.
Mother knows best
A pair of crooks broke into
a woman’s Bay Seventh Street
apartment on March 28.
The break-in occurred at the
home between Benson and Bath avenues
at around 12:35 a.m., when the
woman’s mother saw the duo leaving
her daughter’s apartment and
fl eeing down Bay Seventh Street towards
Bath Avenue on foot, according
to the report, which added that
the mother and daughter did not
know if the baddies took anything.
Sweet tooth
A punk stole four boxes of candy
worth $100 from an Avenue U store
and punched an employee in the
lip when she tried to stop him on
March 28, police said.
The incident occurred at the
store between W. Ninth and W.
10th streets at around 8:15 a.m.,
according to the report.
Afternoon assault
A lout threw a brick at a man —
causing bleeding, pain, and lacerations
above his upper lip and eye —
on 25th Avenue on March 29.
The incident occurred between
86th Street and Benson Avenue at
around 4 p.m., according to the report,
which added that the victim
received treatment at Coney Island

Jump start
Cops are hunting for the vandal
who used a row of cars parked
along 52nd Street as trampolines on
March 30.
A witness told police he spotted
the scamp jumping on the hoods of
four cars parked between Fourth
and Fifth avenues at 11:40 p.m.
The rascal’s antics caused a
whopping $1,600 worth of damage
across all four vehicles, cops said.
Socket to ’em
Police are searching for the reprobate
who broke both of a man’s
eye sockets inside a 19th Street
apartment building on March 30.
The victim told police he spotted
the goon lingering in the vestibule
of his building between Fourth
and Fifth avenues at 5:30 a.m., and
that the scoundrel attacked him
following a dispute.
The man was able to go to Maimonides
Hospital following the assault,
where doctors told him he
would need surgery to correct the
