Beauty store bruiser
Police arrested two men who
they said robbed a beauty supply
store on Mermaid Avenue on Dec. 4.
The two suspects allegedly took a
pair of sunglasses and a hair coloring
product from the store between
W. 27th and W. 28th streets at 5 pm,
according to police.
When a man confronted the pair,
one of them allegedly punched him
in the face, causing pain, cops said.
Police arrested both suspects
and recovered the stolen items, according
to the authorities.

Cops cuffed a teen who they said
attacked a man on a Q train at a
Brighton Beach station on Dec. 6.
The victim told police that he accidentally
tapped the suspect’s shoe
while sitting down next to him on
the train at Brighton Sixth Street
at 4 pm, upon which the defendant
became agitated, began threatening
him, and started attacking him.
The 17-year-old suspect allegedly
punched the victim in the head multiple
times with metal knuckles, according
to police.
Offi cers apprehended the suspect
at W. Eighth Street without further
incident, they said.

MANHATTAN BEACH—GRAVESEND
Bodega bandits
Two brigands broke into an Avenue
U bodega on Dec. 8 and took
cash.
The looters broke in through
the rear door of the business near
E. 22nd Street sometime between
3:52 and 5 am and stole $2,300 from
the register under the counter, cops
said.

Terrible trio
Three miscreants grabbed a

woman’s cellphone from her hand
on E. 32nd Street on Dec. 6.
The victim told police that she
was walking home near Avenue
K between 5 and 5:30 pm when the
scoundrels approached her from behind
and one of them snatched her
cellphone out of her right hand.

Double the trouble
A pair of brutes held up and
threatened three men, and stole one
victim’s cellphone and $650, on Bay
Parkway on Dec. 5.
The three victims were near 66th
Street at 10:45 pm, when the thieves
approached, alleged they had a gun,
and demanded two of the men get in
their car and follow one of the perps,
who police said drove a gray Hyundai
sedan.
When the two men refused the
scoundrels’ orders, one of the perps
again claimed he had a gun and that
he would start shooting unless the
men got in the car, cops said.
One of the victims then fl ed on
foot, police said.
And the other two stayed, according
to cops, who said that one of the
louts punched one of the men on his
head and in his face, causing pain,
swelling, and small lacerations.
The bruisers then stole the man’s
cash and phone from his pocket and
fl ed in their car, according to authorities.

Strike!
Some ne’er-do-well absconded
with a woman’s purse as she played
the pins at a 37th Street bowling alley
on Dec. 9.
The victim told police she was
gunning for strikes at the lanes between
Fourth and Fifth avenues at
12:15 am, when the thief snatched
her bag while her back was turned,
nabbing an expensive camera and
iPhone X in the process.
No arrests have been made in
the case, which remains open, cops
