Headed for bed
A trio of punks stole a comforter
from an 86th Street store on Dec. 22
and assaulted two people who tried
to intervene, police said.
The incident occurred around
11:30 am at the store between Bay
Parkway and Bay 31st Street, where
two of the baddies struck one person
who tried to intervene with a
metal pipe and punched the other
in the face, police said. Emergency
medical personnel transported the
victims to Maimonides Medical
Center to receive medical attention,
according to the report.
Mean business
A pair of punks broke into an
86th Street business and stole more
than $6,400 in cash on Dec. 16.
The break-in and burglary occurred
at the business between Bay
23rd Street and 20th Avenue just
before 9 pm, when the no-goodniks
entered through the back door and
used a crowbar to break into the
cash machine and register, police
said.
Sober up
Cops cuffed a man who was allegedly
“swinging his arms violently”
at offi cers — injuring one of the offi
cer’s shoulders — while he was
drunk on 21st Avenue on Dec. 17.
The alleged incident occurred between
85th and 86th streets around
1:30 pm, when police attempted to
guide the man into an ambulance,
according to the report, which
added that he began swinging his
arms and refused to cooperate. Police
then tried to handcuff the man,
they said, but he “became more
irate and violent and tried to break
free from offi cers’ grasps,” according
to the report. Offi cers fi nally restrained
and put the man under arrest,
prompting one of the offi cers to
injure his shoulder, the report said.
What a tool
A burglar broke into a 17th Avenue
building and stole pricey copper
tools and pipes from the basement
on Dec. 17, police said.
The break-in and burglary occurred
shortly after 3:30 pm at the
building at Bay Ridge Parkway, according
to the report, which added
that the baddie gained entry to the
building by repeatedly buzzing
various tenants’ apartments until
someone let him in.
Gym rat
A thief stole a man’s wallet —
with $250 cash and credit and debit
cards inside — from an 86th Street
gym locker on Dec. 18.
The theft occurred at the gym
between 19th Avenue and Bay 22nd
Street at around 6:30 am, according
to the report, which added that the
man told police that his locker had
been locked.
Off on a safari
A good-for-nothing stole a man’s
brown 2000 GMC Safari from 15th
Avenue on Dec. 18.
The theft occurred from its parking
spot at 79th Street at 4:30 pm, police
said, adding that the owner of
the car claimed he had its only set
of keys.
Carjacked
A lout stole a man’s car — which
police said had $800 cash inside,
along with his phone and jewelry —
from its Dahill Road parking spot
on Dec. 19.
The incident occurred at 3:30 am
between Quentin Road and Kings
Highway, according to the report.
Broke in
A no-goodnik broke into a 14th
Avenue home and stole $12,000 cash
along with credit and debit cards on
Dec. 19.
The incident occurred at the
home at 70th Street around 1:40 pm,
police said, adding that the perp
damaged the doorframe with an unknown
object when he broke into

Backseat thief
A knifeman robbed a cab driver
from the backseat of a taxi stopped
at 47th Street on Dec. 11.
The victim told police that, upon
arriving at his passengers destination
between Fourth and Fifth avenues
at 8:25 pm, he suddenly felt the
cold steel of a knife pressed to his
throat.
“Don’t move, or you’ll get
stabbed,” the backseat baddie said
into the cabbie’s ear.
The crook then reached into
the driver’s right pocket, nabbing
$2,765, before snatching his cellphone
from the center console, and
car keys from the ignition, according
to police.
Afterwards, the thief took off
on foot towards Fifth Avenue, leaving
his victim unharmed save for a
small nick on the side of his neck,
cops said.

Bad bump
Cops arrested a 40-year-old
woman after she allegedly fl ew into
a profanity-laced rage and attacked
another woman aboard a D train at
the 36th Street Subway Station on
Dec. 11.
The victim told police she accidentally
bumped into the suspect
aboard a Manhattan-bound D train
at the station near Fourth Avenue at
8:30 am, when the lady went berserk
and started screaming at her, before
smacking her with an umbrella and
slashing the woman’s face with her
keys.
Another straphanger moved to
step in on the victim’s behalf, and
then he got keyed too, suffering lacerations
to his face and hands, cops
said.
Offi cers cuffed the woman that
day on felony assault charges, according

Up and down
A baddie robbed a woman in an
elevator on W. Second Street on Dec.
17.
The victim told police that she
was in the building elevator going
up when the malefactor asked her
to give him her purse and threatened
to hurt her with a metal pipe
between Avenue Z and Shore Parkway
at 2:55 pm.
She handed him $70 and the
punk then fl ed on foot when the elevator
stopped on the third fl oor, according
to police.
Choked
A man was choked by a would-be
robber outside a supermarket on
Neptune Avenue on Dec. 18.
The victim told cops that he was
taking the locks off the gate to open
up the store when the crook came
up to him from behind and put him
in a chokehold and told him, “give
me your wallet,” at W. Fifth Street
at 6:50 am.
The victim was able to get out of
the hold and the lout then fl ed the
scene, according to cops.
Window buster
A dirtbag burgled a van on 26th
Avenue on Dec. 17.
The victim told cops that the
ne’er-do-well broke his car’s rear
right side window and stole drilling
equipment worth $2,000 at Bath Avenue
at 7:30 pm.
Sneaker sneak
A woman’s package was stolen
from her Neptune Avenue home on
Dec. 5.
The victim told cops that she received
a delivery confi rmation but
that she never got her package, containing
a pair of sneakers, between
W. Fifth and Sixth streets at 5:15
pm. The victim believes that someone
stole her sack of sneakers from
her building’s lobby, according to
cops.
Purse pilfered
A burglar busted into a car and
stole a woman’s purse on 28th Avenue
on Dec. 17.
The victim told police that she
returned to her car and noticed that
someone had broken her passenger
front window and removed her
purse, along with credit cards at
Cropsey Avenue at 5 pm.
Q-train crook
A lout stole a man’s bag on the
subway at Brighton Beach Avenue
on Dec. 18.
The victim was traveling on the
Q train towards Brighton Beach
from Manhattan and fell asleep
and later woke up at Brighton Sixth
Street station and noticed that
someone had taken his bag, which
contained his tablet, cash, electronics
and identifi cation cards at 8 pm,
according to cops.

Camera snatched
A lout looted a man’s car on
Kings Highway on Dec. 13.
The victim told cops he parked
his van to get food when the sneak
thief got in through an unlocked
back door and bagged thousands of
dollars worth of camera equipment
at E Second Street at 2:47 pm.
The bandit then fl ed the scene,
but was caught on surveillance
cameras, according to cops.
Booze bandits
Police arrested a man who they
said burglarized a commercial
building on Avenue U on Dec. 11.
The suspect allegedly forced his
way into the building near E. 12th
Street at 9:15 pm through a rear
window and stole $4,000 from the
front desk drawer.
Video surveillance caught the
suspect in the act and police said
they found tools at the scene.
He was arrested on Dec. 13 at 6
pm and brought to the precinct station
