Defending champions Weymouth

managed to remain in the hunt for
the 2018-2019 championship by trailing
just one point behind the Zone
One leader Blackbirds, while in Zone
Two, Paradise hangs behind leader
Empire making for a tight Premier

At the end of a series of games over
the weekend, Blackbirds topped Zone
One with 12 points, barely above
Weymouth’s 11; and Empire stood
on 22 with Paradise breathing down
their necks on 21.

Captain Clive Lloyd has lashed out
at the snubbing of fellow West Indies
icon Desmond Haynes for the post of
the men’s team head coach in favor
of Englishman Richard Pybus.
He said it is unfortunate that

Darren Bravo has returned to the Test
team against England after a 27-month
hiatus for the upcoming home series,
which will bowl off at the Kensington
Oval, Barbados from Jan. 23, 2019.
Bravo who has been named in the
13-man squad, is one of several changes
to the squad which suffered an embarrassing
whitewash in Bangladesh last
November.
