Travel with Zarena Ali to South Africa
By Tangerine Clarke
Retired Registered Nurse,
Zarena Ali says she cannot stay
still, and as such, she has opened
up new vistas, not only for herself,
but her buddies, whom she
has taken along on her travels
around the world.
“I am not a travel agent, I am
a travel consultant, I love what
I do, I research destinations,
and do the necessary work to
find budgeted travel tours, and
work with Indus Travel to complete
the destinations,” said the
globetrotter who has traveled
to more than 50 countries in
South America, Europe, Asia,
the Middle East, Australia, and
cities across North America.
However, this sightseer will
be making her first trip to the
continent of Africa come 2020,
and is inviting travelers who,
like her, have an interest in
experiencing South Africa and
learning about the country’s
storied past and the unforgettable
sacrifices that late President
Nelson Mandela made to end
apartheid.
The trip, which will last ten
days and 9 nights, will leave New
York on Sept. 23 and return on
Oct. 2, 2020.
In addition to the historic
Robben Island where President
Mandela was imprisoned for
27 years of his life, one of the
highlights of the tour, travelers
will experience the breathtaking
beauty of the country.
Titled “Super South Africa”
and an optional tour of Dubai,
United Arab Emirates, this
13-day tour gives travellers an
insight into the history and culture
of South Africa.
Guests can explore the
vibrant city of Johannesburg at
their leisure and enjoy a guided
tour to the Soweto Township,
a cultural melting pot, with a
wealth of heritage sites that will
fascinate any visitor.
According to Indus Travel
website, that is planning the
tour, ‘travelers will marvel at the
awe-inspiring wildlife of Kruger
National Park before continuing
to historical, glorious Stellenbosch
with its Cape Dutch
architecture; it is the warm and
wonderful heart of the Cape
Wine lands.’
A visit to Cape Town, a modern
city with a fascinating history
that is regularly voted one
of the most beautiful cities in
the world, is on the itinerary.

Tourists will also enjoy time
to stroll along the waterfront, to
visit Table Mountain or simply
relax and go shopping. Then a
visit to the spectacular city of
Dubai with its distinctive Islamic
architecture will include a
drift across the creek in a watertaxi
to spend time in the glittering
Gold Souk, a marketplace.
The tour starts at $2,699.00. A
payment plan would allow travelers
to pay towards the tour,
completing payments before
travel.
Ali says she enjoys traveling,
meeting people and experiencing
the different lifestyles
around the world.
“I would love to travel more in
South America, and the Pacific,
and take along friends, who
see my pictures and blogs and
become excited, about the destinations,”
said the wanderer who
recently returned from a tour of
India and the Persian Gulf.
Whenever, she is bitten by the
travel bug, which is, about four
times a year, she connects with
Indus Travel, located in Canada,
and they help her with travel
destinations.
She says she has a very good
rapport with the travel agency,
and as such, could negotiate
tours, hotels, prices, and sighseeing
options, and suggest
destinations that would benefit
travelers on that particular tour.
“Indus Travel Agency allows me
to plan the destination. This
is my hobby. And now I get
to travel to Africa for the first
time,” she said
