West Indies trashed Afghanistan
inside three days in the first one-off
Test match at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee
International Stadium in India
last week to win by nine wickets.

Rahkeem Cornwall became the first
West Indian to claim 10 wickets in
the subcontinent, as the Caribbean
side needed just 33 runs for victory
on day three of the five-day game.
Final scores were Afghanistan 187
and 120 — West Indies 277 and
33/1.
On another bowler’s day 15 of
the 16 wickets fell to spinners. West
Indies managed to secure a first
innings 90-run lead, after being dismissed
for 277 in their first innings.
Brooks, unbeaten overnight on 19,

West Indies opening batsman Evin
Lewis has moved into the top 10 of the
ICC rankings for batsmen in the Twenty20
format.
The Trinidadian-left hander had
scores of 68, 14, and 24 against Afghanistan,
which earned him a jump of
seven places and into the seventh position
making him the only West Indian
in the top bracket.
Lewis has done well in the Twenty20
Internationals with two centuries
against India- 125 not out in Jamaica

Insurance Super50 cricket title with a
resounding victory over the Leeward
Hurricanes at the Queen’s Park Oval,
Trinidad on Sunday, Dec, 1.
Chasing 294 runs for victory after
T&7’s Leonard Julien struck 83 for the
Emerging Players but the Leewards
could only manage 88 all out in 4.6
overs losing the match by 205 runs to
claim their first title.
