Car pilferer
A raider broke into a car parked
on Nostrand Avenue sometime overnight
on May 13, and stole almost
$3,000 worth of items.
The baddie broke into the vehicle,
which was left between Clarendon
Road and Avenue D, sometime
between 9 p.m. and 4:15 a.m. the following
day, cops reported. The perp
made off with a laptop, headphones,
and a wallet, according to police.
Identity theft
A fraudster used a woman’s stolen
information to make $791 in unauthorized
purchases at an Avenue
U department store on May 5.
The woman received a bill in
the mail for charges made at the
store between Flatbush Avenue and
E. 55th Street at 3:10 p.m., using a
credit card that her bank mailed to
her home, but she never received,
cops said.
Jewelry thief
A bandit stole several items of
jewelry from a Filmore Avenue
home on May 14.
The victim told police she left the
bling in a box in her bedroom of the
home between E. 52nd and E. 53rd,
and later found the items missing.
The victim said that there was a repairman
working on the home before
the items went missing, cops
said.
Phone scam
A scammer purchased two cellphones
using a Brooklyn Avenue
man’s stolen information on May 3.
The victim, who lives between
Avenues H and I, received a bill
from his wireless company, saying
that he had purchased two extra
phones using his account, according
to the police report. The victim
claims he knew nothing about the
purchase, cops said.

CONEY ISLAND—BRIGHTON BEACH—
SEAGATE
Brutal bandits
Two villains attacked and
robbed a man on Shore Parkway on
May 14.
The victim told police he was
near Ocean Parkway shortly after 3
a.m. when the duo approached. One
of the weasles held the victim down,
while the other stole his wallet from
his pants pocket, before they ran
off, cops said.
Choke-held
Two brutes assaulted a man and
robbed him on Neptune Avenue on
May 14.
Police said the victim was walking
between Ocean Parkway and W.
Fifth Street at 2:15 a.m. when one
of the perps came from behind and
put him in a chokehold. The second
baddie then removed the victim’s
cellphone, wallet, and money from
his pocket, before the two perps fl ed
toward Shell Road, according to police.
Looted
A thief looted a car parked on
Neptune Avenue on May 14.
The victim parked his ride between
Ocean Parkway and W. Fifth
Street at 2 p.m. and returned later
that day to fi nd someone had broken
in and stole a bag, along with several
electronics, cops said.
Boardwalk baddie
Cops cuffed two suspects who
they say robbed a man and threatened
to shoot him on W. 24th Street
on May 18.
Police say the suspects approached
the victim near the
Riegelmann Boardwalk at 5 a.m.
and told them they had fi rearms.
One of the suspects then punched
the victim in the face and stole his
cellphone, cops said.
Offi cers tracked down the suspects
and arrested them, without
recovering any weapons, later that
day, according to the report.

Unholy theft
A pilferer robbed an Avenue S
synagogue on May 18.
The perp broke into the house of
worship near E. 22nd Street through
a side window at approximately 4:15
a.m., and stole $50 from the charity
box, cops said.
Bay baddie
A brigand stole a woman’s cellphone
on Sheepshead Bay Road on
May 14.
The victim was waiting for a
car service near E. 15th Street at
around 9:15 p.m. when the baddie approached.
The brute told the victim
that he had a gun, and demanded
her cellphone, police reported. The
victim turned over the phone, and
the baddie ran off, according to
cops.

Quentin Rd. robbers
Two muggers robbed a man on
Quentin Road on May 19.
The victim told police the baddies
approached as he was leaving
his apartment between E. 18th and
E. 19th streets shortly after 9 p.m.
One of the louts punched the victim
in the face, and the other kicked
him in the stomach, causing the victim
to drop his cellphone, police reported.
The muggers picked up the
phone and fl ed, according to the police
report.

Bike snatcher
A burglar broke into a Bay Parkway
home and stole a bicycle on
May 17.
The perp entered the unlocked
vestibule of the home between 70th
and 71st streets at approximately
3:30 a.m., and rode off on the ill-gotten
bike, cops said.
Bar fi ght
Cops cuffed two men who they
say assaulted another man at a Bay
Ridge Avenue bar on May 17.
The three were inside the watering
hole between 16th and New
Utrecht avenues at approximately
10:30 p.m. when one of the men hit
the victim over the head with a
chair, and the other punched him
repeatedly in the face, according to
authorities.
Checkbook baddie
A scammer stole a check from a
Lake Street home on May 11.
The fraudster snatched the check
from the mailbox of the home between
John F. Kennedy Boulevard
and Montrose Avenue at approximately
7 p.m., police reported.
The weasel then changed the information
on the check and deposited
it into an unknown bank account
for $2,500, cops said.
Unsafe
A thief stole $30,000 from a W.
Seventh Street home between May
13 and May 19.
The victim claimed that he had
the money, in hundred dollar bills,
stashed in the living room of his
home, between Bay Parkway and
Avenue O, police reported. He had
multiple guests in the home over
the course of the week, and realized
the money was missing on May 19,
cops said.
Beer bottle brute
Cops cuffed a man who they say
assaulted someone with a beer bottle
at a Bay Ridge Avenue bar on
May 19.
Two witnesses claim the defendant
struck the victim in the neck
with a glass bottle while at the tavern
between 16th and New Utrecht
avenues shortly after midnight,
cops said.
Highway robbery
A jerk snatched a bicycle on
Kings Highway on May 15.
The victim was riding his twowheeler
between Clarendon and
Beverly roads shortly before 11 p.m.
when the scoundrel pushed him off,
before getting on the bike and riding
off, according to cops.

SUNSET PARK–WINDSOR TERRACE
Cell of a guy
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
beating and robbing a woman
on 21st Street on May 14, taking her
phone.
The victim told police she was
arguing with the suspect between
Fourth and Fifth avenues at 10:55
p.m. when the man grabbed the
phone from her hand and started
walking away.
When the woman attempted to
reclaim her cell, the guy slapped
her in the face and then shoved her
to the ground, according to police.
A man witnessed the theft from
his nearby home and called police,
who showed up to cuff the man on
a felony robbery charge, according
to police.
Driver duped
A brazen thief looted the cab of a
box truck parked on Fourth Avenue
while the driver rooted around in
the back on May 20.
The victim told police he was in
the back of his box truck parked between
Third and Fourth avenues
at 8 a.m., only to discover upon returning
to the driver’s seat about 15
minutes later that some crook had
nabbed his speakers, phone charger,
and wallet.
Tough luck
A burglar looted $700 from the
register of a 25th Street gym on May
18.
The store’s owner told police that
he received a cellphone notifi cation
that the alarm at his fi tness center
between Fourth and Fifth avenues
had been tripped at 3:25 p.m., and he
rushed back to fi nd that a register
there had been ransacked.
