Every year, millions of people try to quit smoking, and every year, millions fail. Smokers
try nicotine patches, inhalers, nasal spray, and gum to kick the habit. Some try quitting
cold turkey. Most will quit two or three times and return to the habit before quitting again
permanently. According to the Centers for Disease Control, most relapses occur within the
first three months.

are balanced and cravings vanish immediately. One, pain free treatment is all that is usually
needed. Once you have the motivation, auriculotherapy can offer what willpower cannot -

HELL RIDE
a report of shots fi red at the corner
of Tilden Avenue and E. 53rd Street,
where the offi cer found Murrell in the
driver’s seat of the stolen Honda Civic,
which also contained three passengers,
according to trial testimony.
Veve then tried to talk to Murrell,
but he put pedal to metal while the cop
was holding onto the car, moving at
58-miles-per hour as he swerved down
several blocks, court documents read.
The detective managed to fi re off
two shots and punch Murrell before
being fl ung from the vehicle, which
Murrell then crashed, according to
prosecutors, who said he and the three
passengers subsequently fl ed the scene
on foot.
The teen walked 20 blocks to Kings
County Hospital following the incident,
but left after seeing cops there,
ditching his bloody clothes and taking
a car service to Brookdale Hospital. He
did not sustain any serious injuries,
according to court documents.
Veve, however, suffered severe
brain damage, and underwent rehabilitation
for almost a year, according

with an eye for threatening language,
among other things.
The senator’s offi ce did not immediately

Senate Republicans’ spokeswoman
Candice Giove identifi ed Parker as
the problematic parker in a comment
she posted to a photo shared on Twitter,
which showed a white Vokswagen
completely blocking a bike lane in
Manhattan.
“I got to the bottom of this, the placard
is assigned to @SenatorParker,”
Giove tweeted from her private account.
Parker then fi red off his threatening
missive in response, which he later
apologized for in another tweet.
“Suicide is a serious thing and
should not be made light of,” the senator
wrote.
But less than an hour later, the pol
returned to attacking his accuser on
the social-media platform, blasting
Giove for her former job as a fl ack for
the Independent Democratic Conference,
a group of rogue blue-party state
senators that caucused with the GOP
until it dissolved in April.
“@Candicegiove is on the wrong
side of history for every important issue
facing New York State!,” Parker
tweeted.

Police also charged Parker for assaulting
a city traffi c agent back in
2005, but dropped the case after the
pol reportedly agreed to seek help for
anger management, according to the
New York Times .
And following the senator’s alleged
incident with the traffi c agent, a former
aide to Parker told the Times the
pol threatened her after she publicly
accused him of another assault.
Following the senator’s hostile
turn on Twitter, some local Democrats
distanced themselves from the longtime
pol — whom voters reelected to
an eighth term this November — with
Flatbush Councilman Jumaane Williams
announcing that Parker will
step down as the co-chair of his campaign
for New York City Public Advocate
.
“I’m very concerned by the statement
I saw from Senator Parker on social
media earlier today. After speaking
with him this afternoon, we have
both agreed that it’s best for him to
step down as co-chair of my campaign
for Public Advocate,” Williams said.
