Bag man
A crook swiped a woman’s purse
on Atlantic Avenue on Dec. 26.
The victim told police she had
placed her bag on a garbage pail
near Flatbush Avenue in order to
take her jacket off at 5:05 pm, when
the thief swooped by and nabbed
the bag — which contained her
passport and child support documents,
in addition to some electronics
— before fl eeing.
Not that public
Cops arrested a man for trespassing
at a Third Avenue public
housing development on Dec. 30.
Police offi cers claim they spotted
the man — whose name is on
a Housing Authority ban list — at
the complex between Wyckoff and
Baltic streets at 10:45 pm, and the
patrolmen found he was in possession
of a crack pipe and crack cocaine
following his arrest.
Plate gate
A thief stole the license plate off a
man’s car parked on DeGraw Street
sometime between Dec. 21 and 25.
The victim told police he left
his 2003 Chevy between Third and
Fourth avenues at 8:45 pm on Dec.
21, and returned four days later to
fi nd some reprobate had removed
his plates.
Shattered
Some jerk smashed the window
on a man’s car parked on Third
Avenue on Dec. 25.
The victim told police he left
his 2015 Toyota Sienna between
Carroll and Third streets at 7:15
am, and returned at 4 pm to fi nd
some whacko had cracked open
his rear passenger-side window.
Pill popper
Police busted a man for driving
on drugs after he passed out at the
wheel and collided with a parked
car on Eighth Street on Dec. 28.
A witness told police the suspect’s
2008 Subaru Impreza was
heading towards Red Hook near
Second Avenue at 2:31 am, when the
guy suddenly lost control and his vehicle
collided with a parked car.
When police arrived, they
found the man unconscious behind
the wheel, and paramedics
used a drug called Narcan to revive
the man, after which he confessed
to taking an unprescribed
pharmaceutical, cops said.

SUNSET PARK–WINDSOR TERRACE
Shout out
Police arrested a man after he
was allegedly spotted trespassing
inside a woman’s 51st Street home
on Jan. 5.
The victim told police the suspect
broke through a door to enter
her apartment between Second
and Third avenues at 10 pm,
where he loitered even as she
screamed at him to leave.
The man did eventually leave,
and police picked him up later
that night on a felony burglary
charge, cops said.
Pipe down
Cops are hunting the fi ve goons
that beat a woman on 57th Street
on Jan. 6.
The victim told police she
was hashing out a dispute with a
man and a woman between Seventh
and Eighth avenues at midnight,
when three of their friends
crept up behind her and attacked,
punching, kicking, and at one
point, cracking her over the head
with a metal pipe.
Paramedics transported the
victim in “substantial pain” to
Maimonides Hospital following
the attack, according to police.
Screwed
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
attacking his ex-boyfriend
with a screwdriver on 39th Street
on Jan. 5.
The victim told police he has a
court order of protection barring
his ex from interacting with him,
but that didn’t stop the man from
bashing his face with the back of a
screwdriver between Fourth and
Fifth avenues at 10:25 am.
Police arrested the man that
day on a felony assault charge,
cops said.
High crime
Cops arrested a man for alleged
possession of an illegal knife after
spotting him smoking a joint
at a Third Avenue playground on
Jan. 5.
The arresting offi ce claimed
he spotted the suspect puffi ng on
the whacky tobacky at Gonzalo
Plasencia Park near 41st Street at
3:05 am, and upon arresting him
discovered he had a large knife
tucked up his sleeve.
Luxury lost
A thief sped off with a man’s
Mercedes Benz he left running
and unlocked on Eighth Avenue
on Jan. 3.

The victim told police he left
his keys in the running vehicle between
49th and 50th streets at 5:40
pm, and a returned a whopping 12
minutes later to fi nd that his ritzy
carry-all had been stolen.

Shoplifter
A jerk swiped a woman’s wallet
that she dropped inside an Albee
Square store on Jan. 2, police said.
The victim told police she was
shopping inside the department
store near Fleet Street a little before
11 am when she didn’t realize she
had dropped her wallet and someone
snatched it with her credit cards
and gift cards inside it, according to
authorities.

FORT GREENE–CLINTON HILL
Tool thief
A thief stole tools from a guy’s
car parked on Navy Street on Jan.
4, police said.
The victim told cops he left his
commercial four-wheeler near
Myrtle Avenue at about 10 am.
And when he returned to it at
about 11:30 am, he noticed some
sneak had broken the door handle
and took out his grinder power
tool, according to authorities.
New Year’s louse
Some good-for-nothing swiped
a woman’s wallet and ring on Flatbush
Avenue Extension on New
Year’s Eve, police said.
The victim told cops she put
her bag on the ground near Fulton
Street about fi ve minutes before
midnight when the sneak
reached in and took her wedding
band and wallet with her insurance
card and credits card inside
it, according to authorities.
Car cur
A punk stole a woman’s bag
from her car parked on DeKalb
Avenue on Jan. 5, police said.
The victim told cops she had
parked her car with an attached
U-Haul near Hudson Avenue at
about 1:30 pm.
And when she returned to it
about two hours later, she saw the
sneak had grabbed her bag with
her iPhone, wallet, prescriptions
drugs, and sunglasses inside it.
The woman told police she may
have forgotten to lock the doors,
according to authorities.
Pedaled away
A baddie rode off with a guy’s
motorcycle parked inside a Clinton
Avenue garage on Jan. 4, police
said.
The guy told cops he had left
his ride, a 2015 BMW, inside the
parking lot near Greene Avenue
at about 7 am and when he went
to go pick it up at about 7:15 pm,
it was gone, according to authorities.

Taxi attack
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
punching a taxi driver outside a
Beard Street store on Jan. 7.
The victim told police he was
picking up a passenger near
Otsego Street at 6:20 pm when the
suspect allegedly punched him in
the face.
Boys in Blue arrested the suspect
25 minutes later at the location
and charged him with assault
and harassment, they said.
Criminal haul
A thief robbed a clothing store
on Atlantic Avenue on Jan. 7.
The punk stole a duffl e bag in
the store between Clinton and
Court streets sometime between 2
and 3 pm and stuffed it with three
pairs of pants and two denim jackets
before making a run for it, according
to cops.
Clean case
Police arrested a man who they
said robbed a pharmacy on Smith
Street on Jan. 7.
Cops said that the suspect allegedly
stole laundry detergent
bottles from the shelves at the
store at President Street at 2:45
pm.
They arrested him 10 minutes
later and charged the him with
petty larceny, according to cops.
Double bike thief
A thief stole two bikes from
outside a house on Degraw Street
sometime between Jan. 2 and 4.
The victim told police that he
locked the two bikes to the front
gate between Court and Smith
streets at 6 pm on Jan. 2.
And two days later at 6 am,
they were gone, according to cops.
