Punch drunk
Detectives tracked down a man
suspected of sucker-punching a
52-year-old man outside a Fifth Avenue
watering hole in the early hours
New Year’s Day.
The victim told police the suspect
cold-cocked him outside the bar between
Sackett and Union streets at
1:23 am, before grotesquely punching
him in the eye.
The suspect evaded capture that
evening, but didn’t remain free for
long, and investigators nabbed their
man fi ve days later, according to the
police report.
C’mon, bra
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
trying to fi ght his way out of a Flatbush
Avenue lingerie store with stolen
perfume on Jan. 4.
An employee told police the suspect
shoved him as he tried to fl ee
the store near Atlantic Avenue with
his ill-gotten scents at 6:05 pm.
Police arrested him that day,
charging him with felony robbery,
according to police.
Sticky situation
Some jerk superglued a frontdoor
lock on a woman’s Warren
Street apartment on Jan. 1.
The victim told police she was returning
to her home between Third
and Fourth avenues with a load of
clean laundry at noon, when she
was surprised to discover her lock
didn’t seem to work.
No arrests have been made in the
case of glue-fi lled lock, and the case
has been closed, cops said.
Cab vs cab
Police busted a taxi driver for allegedly
beating another cabbie on
Flatbush Avenue on Dec. 31.
The victim told police he was arguing
with the other driver from
the seat of his cab near Atlantic Avenue
at 11:30 pm, when the other guy
walked up and slugged him through
the window.
Police caught up with the suspect
near Pacifi c Street later that night,
charging him with misdemeanor
assault, police said.

SUNSET PARK–WINDSOR TERRACE
Long-distance call
A thief ran off with a man’s cellphone
he “borrowed” at a Fifth Avenue
burger joint on Jan. 11.
The victim told police he lent
the crook his phone to make a call
inside the fast food restaurant between
52nd and 53rd streets at 9 pm,
but claims the fi end later refused to
hand it back, and ran off with it after
concluding his chat.
When police arrived, they found
the victim drunk and unable to provide
a description of the thief, cops
said.
No arrests have been made in the
case, which has been closed, according
to police.
Expressway to jail
Cops busted a 20-year-old man
for allegedly driving drunk after he
was involved in a collision on the
Gowanus Expressway on Jan. 11.
The arresting offi cer claimed
the suspect reeked of booze and was
slurring his speech near the 38th
Street exit, where he and another
driver had collided at 2:15 am.
Police cuffed him at the scene,
charging him with a misdemeanor
drunk driving charge, cops said.
Low blow!
Police cuffed a 49-year-old woman
for allegedly kicking a 30-year-old
man in the crotch after he refused
to take out the garbage at their 39th
Street home on Jan. 7.
The victim told police the
woman, a relative, threatened with
him a knife, before punching him in
the face and kicking right where the
sun don’t shine at their apartment
between Fifth and Sixth avenues at
12:10 pm.
Cops arrested the woman that
day, charging her with misdemeanor
menacing, according to police.

Watch out!
Three crooks swiped watches
from the Flatbush Avenue Apple
store on Jan. 13, police said.
The trio of baddies ran out of the
store near Lafayette Avenue with
seven watches a little before 2 pm,
according to authorities.
Missing ride
Some cur drove off with a guy’s
car parked on Park Avenue sometime
overnight on Jan. 8, police
said.
The victim told cops he had left
his 2000 Toyota Corolla near Clinton
Avenue at about 6 pm and when
he returned to it the next day at
about 4 pm, it was gone, according
to authorities.

Register removed
A pair of nogoodniks stole a machine
full of cash from a Fulton
Street bodega on Jan. 7, police said.
The good-for-nothings wearing
dark clothing removed the automated
teller machine from the deli
near Clinton Avenue at about 4:45
am by using a red hand cart, and
then fl ed in a white van waiting outside,
cops said.
Street savages
Two snakes socked a teen in the
face and stole his cash on Auburn
Place on Jan. 10, police said.
One of the villains restrained the
19-year-old while the other hit him
with an unknown black object on
the side of his face near N. Portland
Avenue at about 5 pm, cops said.
The victim fell to the ground and
the brutes took $20 from his pockets,
according to authorities. Paramedics
transported the victim to
Brooklyn Hospital, police said.
Sculpture sneak
Some bandit stole sculptures
from a Waverly Avenue factory
sometime between Jan. 8 and Jan.
12, police said.
The looter ran off with leather
and wooden sculptures from the
warehouse near Park Avenue sometime
between Jan. 8 at 1:30 pm and
Jan. 12 at 1:15 pm, cops said.

Quick snatch
Some purloiner stole a guy’s
phone from his hand on Clark Street
on Jan. 12, police said.
The victim told cops he was
standing near Henry Street at about
5:15 pm when the sneak snatched his
iPhone from his hand and then fl ed
on foot, according to authorities.
Lost focus
A baddie snatched a man’s bag
while on a subway train near Willoughby
Street on Jan. 11, police
said.
The victim told cops he was
watching street performers inside
the car near the Jay Street station
at about 3 pm when the cur grabbed
his bag with his laptop inside it and
then ran out when the doors opened,
according to authorities.
Subway snake
A lout grabbed a woman’s phone
while she was on a subway inside
the Borough Hall station on Jan. 11,
police said.
The victim was sitting on the
train near Joralemon and Court
streets at about 9:30 pm when the
good-for-nothing snatched her black
Samsung phone from her hand and
ran out of the station, according to
the report.
Sharp threat
A snake threatened a guy with
a knife and stole his ring, bag, and
cash on Bergen Street on Jan. 13, police
said.
The victim told cops the villain
put a knife to his back near Third
Avenue at about 8:25 pm and pulled
his wedding band with a “YM” inscribed
on it off his fi nger, along
with $200 and a bag, according to
authorities.

Biked away
A nogoodnik stole a woman’s
gray and black bike from its parking
spot on W. Ninth Street on Jan.
9, police said.
The theft occurred between
Court and Smith streets at some
point between 12:40 pm and 1:30 pm,
when the crook removed the twowheeler
from the lamppost it was
chained to, according to the police
report.
Bagged it
Police arrested a man who allegedly
attempted to steal household
goods from a Beard Street store on
Jan. 13.
Offi cials said the man put the
items in his bag inside the store
near Otsego Street around 4:30 pm,
and allegedly attempted to leave
without paying for them, according
to police.
An employee stopped the man
before he could exit, prompting the
arrest by police, cops said.
What a tool
A baddie broke into a trailer at a
Columbia Street construction site
sometime between Jan. 11 and 12.
The nogoodnik entered the
trailer near Congress Street by
breaking the gate and the window
at some point between 3:30 pm and
7 am, police said, adding that the
crook did not steal any property.
