Cops arrested a 42-year-old man
for allegedly punching a guy inside
a Butler Street hotel on March 29.
The victim told police he was trying
to diffuse an argument between
the suspect and another person at
the inn between Nevins Street and
Third Avenue at 10:55 p.m. when the
guy suddenly turned around and
socked him right in the kisser.
Pedaling crime
Police have given up the hunt
for the cyclist who pedaled off after
smashing into a limo on Fourth Avenue
on March 25.
The driver told police he was
near Sixth Street when the bike
rider slammed into his driver-side
door at 2:45 a.m., before taking off.
Drunk tank
Cops busted a guy for allegedly
driving drunk after he ran a red
light on Fifth Avenue on March 25
and smashed into another car.
The victim told police he was
near Flatbush Avenue when the
suspect ran the red and smashed
into his car at 1:20 a.m., leaving him
with head and back injuries.
The patrolman who interviewed
the suspect following the collision
claimed the guy was clearly drunk,
rambling incoherently, and unable
to stand, and the man later refused
to be tested for inebriation at
a nearby hospital, cops said.

Moving van
A thief looted a man’s van he
parked on 50th Street sometime after
March 27, taking tools and electronics.
The victim told police he left his
vehicle between Third and Fourth
avenues at 10 p.m., and returned
fi ve days later to fi nd a small fortune
worth of equipment had been
stolen, including a pricey laptop.
Mr. Knife Guy
A knifeman cut his way out of a
Hamilton Avenue hardware store
after nabbing a drill on April 2.
An employee told police he spotted
the crook trying to slink out of
the store near 19th Street with the
stolen drill at 6:45 p.m., and the
fi end pulled out a knife when he
confronted him, swinging it at the
worker before fl eeing out the door.
Bad luck
Three crooks robbed a man inside
an illegal 58th Street gambling
den on April 6, taking $9,500 in jewelry
and cash.
The victim told police the robbers
forced him into the off-the-books casino
between Seventh and Eighth
avenues at 11 p.m., where they accused
them of owing a whopping
$120,000 in gambling debts from
previous visits to the illicit house of
chance, before nabbing his stuff as
a down payment on his unpaid bills.

Cab crooks
A group of brutes violently
robbed a cab driver on Ashland
Place on April 4.
The driver picked up the three
goons in Manhattan and was dropping
them at their destination near
Hanson Place at 8:15 p.m., when one
of the guys punched him in the back
of the head, causing substantial
pain, according to cops.

The two other ne’er-do-wells
snatched the victim’s phone from
the front cupholder and the three
louts fl ed on St. Felix Street toward
Lafayette Avenue, police said.
Bottle basher
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
hitting another man over the head
with a glass bottle on Myrtle Avenue
on April 6.
The victim told cops he was near
Washington Avenue at 8:40 p.m.
when the suspect allegedly bashed
the bottle in the back of his head,
causing pain and bleeding.
Pup scam
A fraud scammed a woman who
wanted to buy a puppy on Clinton
Avenue on March 31.
The victim sent the unknown
charlatan more than $1,000 to buy
the dog via an app, but noticed the
next day that the transaction was
fraudulent and the seller cut off
contact to her, between Gates and
Greene avenues at 6 p.m., according

Piggy bank crime
Cops cuffed a woman who they
say hit a man with a piggy bank at a
Schermerhorn Street apartment on
April 2, police said.
The victim sustained a cut to
his face and a swollen eye after the
woman allegedly hit him with the
piggy bank in the apartment between
Smith and Hoyt streets at 8:17
p.m., according to police.
Bike bandits
A couple of bad guys nabbed
a Citi Bike from a man on Court
Street on April 3.
According to police, one punk
told the victim, “I’m gonna shoot
you,” and he simulated a fi rearm
in his pocket just before 9 p.m. near
Schermerhorn Street.
The toughs hit the man in the
face before hijacking the bike from
the victim, police said.
Midday mugging
Two marauders mugged a man
at Montague Street on April 6.
The thieves punched the victim
in the face and ran off with his debit
cards, subway pass and driver’s license
between Montague Terrace
and Hicks Street at 12:45 p.m., police
said.
Fake out
A crook punched and robbed a
woman on Nevins Street on April 6.
According to police, the victim
agreed to meet the thief near Wyckoff
Street at 10:40 p.m. to purchase a
cellphone from him.
Before the victim could complete
the transaction, the tough punched
the woman and ran off with her cellphone
and cash, police said.
Backpack bandit
A purloiner stole a woman’s backpack
at an Atlantic Avenue store on
April 4.
The wretch seized the victim’s
bag — containing her credit cards
and personal identifi cation — while
she turned around to pack up her
purchases at the shop near Boerum
Place at 10 p.m., police said.
Purse snatched
A purse snatcher robbed a
woman at Nevins Street on April 4.
The rapscallion grabbed the
woman’s bag from her shoulder as
she got off the bus near Flatbush Avenue
at 2:15 p.m., police said.
According to police, the bandit
fl ed to the Nevins Street subway station.
