Subway heists
Goons target two teenagers
in Crown Heights crime spree
BY COLIN MIXSON
Cops are hunting for a pair of young
punks wanted for allegedly robbing
two teenage boys amid a string of subterranean
heists in Crown Heights on
April 17.
A 13-year-old boy told police he
was waiting in the mezzanine at the
Kingston Avenue and Throop Avenue
C train station at 1:35 p.m. when the
crooks waltzed up and demanded the
kid’s cellphone.
One of the thieves then feigned
a gun in his pocket to scare the teen
into giving up his smartphone.
The duo struck at the same station
later that day at around 8 p.m., this
time threatening to stab a 15-year-old
boy if he didn’t fork over his iPhone,
and then slugging the kid after he
gave it up, cops said.
Police have released surveillance
images of two suspects, who they describe
as between 19 and 21 years old.
Both were last seen wearing white
Jordan sneakers.
Anyone who provides police with
information leading to an arrest can
expect a $2,500 reward through the
NYPD’s Crime Stoppers program.
The public can phone tips in at
