RANKING
THE MARVEL-OUS
CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
BY JAIME DEJESUS Marvel Studios has successfully done something none of its competitors have.
It’s created a cinematic universe where characters and movies are shared and
connected with each other.
Before Marvel, many had tried and all have failed. With 18 films and 10 years, the
master plan now leads into “Avengers: Infinity War,” this summer and what better
time to look back on all the films and accomplish the difficult task of ranking them.
This creates controversy in the comic world, but it’s all in good fun. No one is wrong and all of these
movies are good. So let’s start it off.
Thor: The Dark World:
Just because it’s last on the list doesn’t mean it’s
bad. It has great action scenes. Chris Hemsworth
is as likeable as ever as is Tom Hiddleston’s
villainous, sometimes good, Loki.
The audience spends less time in Earth and
more in Asgard, which is great because that’s what
was needed in the original. However the chemistry
between Portman and Hemsworth isn’t as rich as
in the first movie. The villain and plot also feel a
bit lacking. It is a movie that has consequences
though. Give it a watch.
