Wallet sneak
A thief stole wallets from shoppers
trying on shoes at an Avenue
U department store in two separate
incidents days apart.
• The fi rst victim told police she
put her wallet down on a bench
while she was trying on shoes at
the store near Flatbush Avenue on
Nov. 28 at 7 pm, and when she looked
back, it was gone. The wallet contained
her passport, identifi cation,
credit cards and cash, according to
cops.
• A man told police he placed
down a pair of jeans and his wallet
while trying on shoes at 2:50 pm on
Dec. 1 and when he looked up, his
wallet was gone.
Clothes haul
Police arrested a woman who
they said shoplifted clothes from a
department store on Avenue U on
Dec. 1.
The suspect allegedly stole undershirts,
boxers, thermals, and
scarves, from the store near Flatbush
Avenue at around 9 pm, and
was arrested half an hour later, according
to police.
Car robbed
Someone swiped a woman’s belongings
she left in her car parked
on E. 37th Street on Nov. 28.
The victim told police that she
returned to her vehicle near Flatlands
Avenue at 9 pm and noticed
that someone had broken the rear
driver’s-side window and stolen her
driver’s license, bank cards, checkbook,
and passport.
Bag thief
A thief stole a woman’s bag at a
shopping center on Avenue U on
Nov. 30.
The woman told police that she
left her bag — containing her bank
cards and cash — on the fl oor of the
store near Flatbush Avenue at 5:45
pm and forgot it when she left.
When she realized she had left
her bag and returned, store employees
told her that another woman
had taken her bag and made away
with it, according to cops.
Three-minute rule
An opportunistic thief took a
man’s wallet he dropped outside a
Ralph Avenue laundromat on Dec.
1.
The victim told police that he was
bringing his clothes to the laundry
center between Farragut Road and
Foster Avenue at 3 pm, and dropped
his wallet outside. When he realized
and went to look for it at 3:40 pm, it
was nowhere to be found.
Video footage from the laundromat
showed a lout, with his face covered
by a hoodie, taking the wallet
just three minutes after the victim
dropped it on the ground, the victim
told cops.

Home invasion
Two burglars robbed a man at
gunpoint in his Avenue W home on
Nov. 24.
The victim told cops that while
he was locking the door to his house
on E. 27th Street at 2 pm the goons
pushed their way in.
One baddie acted as the lookout
and stood guard at the door while
the other threatened the victim with
a silver handgun and demanded to
know where all the money was, according
to police.
The lout then took the victim’s
wallet and stole $600 from it and the
dirtbags fl ed the scene on foot, cops
said.

Bodega bandit
A man robbed a Neptune Avenue
bodega at gunpoint on Nov. 26.
The victim told police that the
brigand came into the store near
W. 36th Street at 5:35 pm brandishing
a black hand gun and demanded
money from the employee.
He took $1,700 and fl ed towards
W. 35th Street, according to police.
Harassed
A lowlife punched a teen in the
face and made homophobic remarks
at him on the subway at Brighton
Beach Avenue on Nov. 26.
The 14-year-old victim told cops
that he got on the Q train headed
toward Brighton Sixth Street at 3
pm with two friends when the lout
started harassing him, calling him
a “faggot,” according to cops.
He then tried to take the teen’s
phone and when he resisted,
punched the victim in the face and
told him to “go home to your husband,”
according to the authorities.
When the train pulled into Brighton
Beach station, the homophobic
bruiser disembarked and left the
scene, cops said.

Hog stripped
A freebooter stole parts from a
woman’s motorcycle parked on Neptune
Avenue on Nov. 28.
The victim returned to her ride
near W. 29th Street at 7:30 pm and
found that someone had taken her
air and fuel ration sensor, her catalytic
converter, and other motorcycle
accessories, according to cops.
Bad dream
Police arrested a man for allegedly
stealing from a teen while he
napped at the Surf Avenue N train
station on Nov. 30.
A witness told police that they
saw the suspect taking the phone
from the front pants pocket of the
victim, who was sleeping, at the station
near Stillwell Avenue at 4:40
am.
The suspect was later arrested
and police recovered the phone
from his jacket pocket, according to

Phone a friend
A pair of crooks threatened a
man with two guns in broad daylight
and stole $14,000 and three
iPhones while he was counting his
cash in his car parked on 84th Street
on Nov. 27.
The theft occurred while the man
was parked between Bay Parkway
and 23rd Avenue around 4:15 pm, police
said, adding that the scoundrels
told the man, “don’t move, give me
your money.” The no-goodniks then
fl ed on foot towards 23rd Avenue,
police said.
Didn’t get far
Police arrested a man who they
said stole more than $1,100 worth of
electronics and clothes from a Bay
Parkway store on Nov. 26.
The suspect allegedly took the
items from the store near Shore
Parkway at 6 pm, police said.
Afternoon punch
A brute punched a man on 18th
Avenue on Nov. 27.
The pair were engaged in a verbal
dispute when the lout swung his
arm and clocked the victim, fl eeing
on foot afterwards, according to authorities.
Soupy squabble
Police arrested a man who
they said threw hot soup at a man,
punched him, spit at him, and
kicked the door of a New Utrecht Avenue
business on Nov. 29.
The alleged incident occurred inside
the business between 78th and
79th streets around 3:20 pm, according
to the report, which added that
the pair had a verbal dispute leading
up to the incident.
Smack down
Offi cers arrested a man who allegedly
broke into a Kings Highway
apartment building on Nov. 29 and
beat up a man.
The victim told cops he was in
the apartment at W. Ninth Street
at around 6:20 pm when the man
kicked in the door, dropped a bottle
of Smirnoff on the ground, pushed
the victim to the fl oor, and punched
him, causing bruising to his left
arm, according to the report.
Police found the man soon after,
allegedly hiding in the apartment,
according to the report.

Some brute robbed a worker inside
a Fourth Avenue diner on Nov.
26, taking jewelry and more than
$4,000.
The victim told police he was
cleaning up inside the eatery between
54th and 55th streets at 3:35
am, when someone whacked him
hard on the head and he passed out.
The man awoke outside the restaurant
some time later, his gold
chain and cash missing, and unsure
of exactly who attacked him,
according to police.
Bling burglar
A thief ransacked a man’s 41st
Street home on Nov. 26, taking
$6,000 and jewelry.
The victim told police he left his
home between Seventh and Eighth
avenues at 4 pm, and returned a few
hours later to fi nd his cash — along
with a gold chain and bejeweled
cross — had been swiped.
Hell for a cell
Cops are hunting two crooks who
robbed a man on 57th Street on Dec.
3, taking his phone and $300.
The victim told police the thieves
jumped him between Fifth and
Sixth avenues at 2:35 am, slugging
him twice in the face, as one of them
barked, “If you move, I will punch
you again.”
The crooks nabbed his iPhone 6S
and cash, before fl eeing, cops said.
