Power Women podcast

Our Lady of the Assumption to
present ‘Newsies the Musical’
Local Celebrity Theatre, a Bronxbased
community theatre group,
will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary;
and to celebrate, they
will be presenting Disney’s ‘Newsies
the Musical’ at Our Lady of the
Assumption School. OLA is located
at 1617 Parkview Avenue, in Pelham
Bay.
The performances will take
place on Friday, April 5; Saturday,
April 6; Friday, April 12; and Saturday,
April 13, at 7:30 p.m. There will
also be a matinee performance on
Saturday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased
at the Middletown Road entrance
to the gym, a half hour before
show time.
This is a family-friendly show,
appropriate for all audiences, and
partial proceeds will help fund the
OLA Drama Club.

Annual Public Meetings
The Board of Directors of the New York City Health +
Hospitals invite you to attend its Fiscal Year 2019
Annual Public Meetings in accordance with §7384(10)
of the HHC Enabling Act.
Following a report on the activities of the health
system, the public is invited to make oral and/or written
presentations.
Allotted speaking time is FIVE (5) minutes. Speakers

This week, Victoria Schneps will
be featuring on her podcast Seema
Hingorani, founder and Chief Investment
Offi cer of SevenStep Capital,
founder and chair of Girls Who Invest,
a nonprofi t organization dedicated to
increasing the number of women in
portfolio management and leadership
in the asset management industry.
Hingorani was also a “WOW: Women
of Wall Street” honoree.
During the podcast, Hingorani discusses
her parents’ unique immigrant
story, growing up in a high achieving
family and helping women get involved
in investing.
Hingorani talks about being inspired
to start Girls Who Invest when
investment managers would meet with
her and show their organizational
charts and she saw that there were so
few women.
“I didn’t realize how bad it was,”
she said. “I asked every single one of
these men who run these fi rms and
everybody told me don’t get resumes
from women. So I thought, maybe we
do have pipeline problem and let’s fi x
that.”
