Sunil Ambris helped West Indies to
their highest successful run chase
to make 331 for 5 to beat Ireland
by five wickets in the ongoing One-
Day International (ODI) Tri-Nation
Series in Ireland.
The opener smashed 148 at Malahide

with 13 balls to spare.
Ireland’s Andy Balbirine struck
135 to give his team hope of a first
win in the tournament but they
slumped to a second loss to the
Windies in a week.
The victory secures a place for
the West Indies in this Friday’s

West Indies has climbed to the
eighth position in the just released
One-Day International (ODI) rankings
— a boost ahead of the World

reach that spot in the International
Cricket Council ODI charts.
The Caribbean side gained four
rating points to move to 80 while Sri
Lanka remained stagnant on 76, following
the annual update which saw
the removal of the 2015-2016 results
and those between 2016-2018 computed
at 50 percent.
For the West Indies, the rise comes
on the back of their outstanding performance
