North Shore Towers resident Eneas Arkawy has been a major force for the UJA for the past 25 years. This year, she is chairing, with Simi Zwecker, a fundraising celebration of Israel’s Independence Day at Towers on the Green. It will be the UJA’s only fundraiser of the year at NST, so Eneas hopes it will lead to the collection of many boxes of non-perishable food for those less fortunate. “UJA is part of my neshama,” she explained, using the Hebrew word for “soul.” “They help anyone in need, not just Jewish people.” UJA-Federation of New York celebrates Israel’s Independence Day @ North Shore Towers Sunday, May 15, 2016 @ 6 p.m. Towers on the Green Entertainment by Yosi Karavani Join us for a very special and enjoyable evening!
