Police need the public’s help in fi nding Matthew Wenzel, 18, and Athina Karalias, 25, who are wanted for beating up and robbing an unidentifi ed man outside a home on 67th Street off Cooper Avenue early on the morning of April 17. At about 1:10 a.m. that morning, according to the 104th Precinct Detective Squad, Wenzel and Karalias allegedly punched and kicked their victim to the ground, leaving them with bruising to the left eye, head and ribs. While on the ground, the duo forcibly removed a watch from the victim’s wrist. The perpetrators then fl ed the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim reported the incident to the 104th Precinct aft er being treated at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, law enforcement agents said. Wenzel was described by police as a white male standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighing 170 pounds, while Karalias is a white female standing 5 feet 1 inches tall, and weighing 130 pounds.
