Gilding has been around since the days of ancient
Egypt, where it was used on royal mummy cases
and furniture. It was also popular with medieval
hand-copied books. In current times crafters often
cover wooden picture frames with gold leaf.
But gilding and lettering on glass usually applied
from the inside, in reverse, is the most difficult.
This is why it has almost become a “Lost Art”.
Don’t miss this chance to get genuine gold leaf
lettering. Because it’s real gold, the work retains its
beauty and brilliance for many many years.
And because it’s handcrafted,
you can get any style, any size.
After all, if your home is your castle,
shouldn’t it have a golden address?

We restore original wood windows. If you are
reading this, you probably already know the virtues
of these antique architectural treasures; the way
they fit your home, the graceful proportions and
fine detail, the way light glimmers through the hand
made glass and that they still exist after 100+ years.
Maybe they are not functioning quite as well as
when they were new, or not functioning at all. It is
not a fault in this proven design but simply a lack
of proper maintenance over the years. With the
right care these windows are designed to provide
centuries of functional use. We can restore them to
their original condition as well as incorporate modern
and traditional weather stripping to make them
perform better than ever. It is unfortunate that
these architecturally correct windows are being
discarded to landfills when all they need is some
skilled hands. Let us evaluate the condition
of your windows.
