Mike’s Deli – 9510 Fourth Avenue A crowd favorite among locals, Mike’s Deli boasts some of the best soup options around. With hearty choices like Beef Barley, Cream of Turkey, Green Pea, Minestrone, Chicken Noodle, Manhattan or New England clam chowder and Lentil among others, Mike’s has a spoonful of something for everyone. Reasonably priced at $4 for a 10-ounce cup, $5 for a pint and $9.75 for a quart, there’s no reason not to head over there and get your sip on. Vegas Diner – 1619 86th Street An all-around great diner if you’re looking for all kinds of good eats, Vegas Diner dabbles in some of the best soup in town. Stop into the 86th Street location, located between Bay 12th and Bay 13th Streets, for a bowl of its unmatched French Onion Soup ($5.95) or the Soup Du Jour (soup of the day). Bridgeview Diner – 9011 Third Avenue Third Avenue’s Bridgeview Diner is also in the running for best soup among locals. Stop in for a bowl ($3.45) or a cup ($2.75) of its highly recommended Chicken Consommé, Clam Chowder, French Onion or soup of the day options. Christina's – 853 Manhattan Avenue While it’s a bit of a ways away from the above southern Brooklyn options, hearty Polish-American favorites cooked up in a casual setting have had locals and visitors alike singing the praises of Christina’s on Manhattan Avenue. The eatery’s one-of-a-kind recipes have been passed down from generation to generation – meaning the deliciousness you’ll find there is unlike anything else in the world and the soups selection offers up plentiful options indeed.
