Th e Mets 2017 culinary team features a slew of newly acquired power hitters. Nicoletta, the popular Manhattan eatery by chef Michael White, will serve up tasty Italian-inspired bites, including mozzarella and pepperoni sticks, chicken Parmesan sandwiches and creamy gelato. Th ey can be found within the “Taste of the City” area behind Center Field/Section 140. Fans can also visit Chef Josh Capon’s Bash Burger, which will feature its loaded namesake dish and salt and vinegar french fries. Dō, the wildly popular cookie dough cafe which opened up in Manhattan in January, will bring its safe-to-eat sweet scoops to Citi Field this year. Kristen Tomlan, founder and CEO, said that fans looking to satiate their sweet tooth during the game will fi nd the cafe’s cake batter cookie dough donned in Mets orange and blue sprinkles. Generously-portioned, freshly made mozzarella sticks can be found at Big Mozz, which got its start at the Smorgasburg food festival in Brooklyn. Th e cheesy sticks are hand breaded and served up with an array of house-made sauces. Guests can also enjoy favorites from David Chang’s Fuku, Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar, Mama’s of Corona, Papa Rosso from Union Square Hospitality, Catch of the Day, Daruma of Tokyo sushi and more. A new season also brings new promotions for fans at the ballpark, the Mets also announced. In a collaboration with Th e 7 Line, an independently owned and fan-operated brand, the Citi Perk Patrol will rocket launch a brand-new T-shirt, featuring the slogan “Here it’s Home,” during games. Th e shirt was voted on by thousands of fans on social media and can’t be found anywhere else. Th e Mets also introduced the new Jim Beam Bourbon Bar. Located in the FanFest area under the scoreboard near the Home Run Apple, fans can sit and enjoy a Jim Bean cocktail while still being able to see the fi eld. “It’s all about the fans, every year,” said David Newman, senior vice president of marketing and communications. “Th e win and losses you can’t control; you can control the experience.” Th e Mets 2017 home opener will take place on Monday, April 3, against the Atlanta Braves.
