WWW.QNS.COM RIDGEWOOD TIMES MAY 25, 2017 43 SPORTS Cops and kids play hoops for a good cause in Maspeth Members of the 104th Precinct and students and faculty from Maspeth High School took to the hardwood on Saturday, May 20, for a charity basketball game. The event supported the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Middle Village, which will take place next month at Juniper Valley Park. The game was also played in honor of Police Officer Patrick Winberry, a young officer from the 104th Precinct who died suddenly last year. Members of the Winberry family were on hand for the game played at the Maspeth High School auditorium, which the 104th Precinct narrowly won by a 43-39 score.
