At around 4 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, Neville Smith, 32, was driving southbound on the Van Wyck Expressway near the Rockaway Boulevard exit when he rear-ended a Honda, causing the car to run off the road hitting a tree and a light pole. Upon their arrival, police found the 22-year-old female driver, 20-year-old male front seat passenger and a 21-yearold female rear seat passenger, all who sustained traumatic injuries about the body. Smith was arrested and charged with a DWI, vehicular assault, assault and refusal to take a breath test. He has been suspended for 30 days without pay, police sources said. Th e investigation by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing. 110th Precinct Corona, Elmhurst Woman found dead in her bathtub Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in the bathtub of her Corona home early in the morning of April 26. At 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious person inside of an apartment at 98-25 Horace Harding Expwy. near 99th Street, within the LeFrak City complex. Upon arriving at the location, offi cers from the 110th Precinct found Dorah Estevez, 60, unconscious and unresponsive in a bathtub fi lled with water. Her body was transported to the city’s Medical Examiner’s offi ce for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police sources say that there is no initial evidence of foul play. Th e investigation is ongoing. 109th Precinct College Point, Flushing, Whitestone Senior loses teeth after Flushing sucker-punch Police are searching for a creep who knocked an elderly man’s teeth out while he waited for the bus in Flushing earlier this month. On Monday, April 17, at around 4:50 a.m., authorities said, the unidentifi ed male approached and sucker punched the 75-year-old victim waiting for the Q48 bus in front of 135-27 Roosevelt Ave. Aft er attacking the man, law enforcement sources said, the assailant fl ed the scene on foot westbound along Roosevelt Avenue. Th e incident was reported to the 109th Precinct. Th e victim suff ered two broken teeth and was transported to NewYork- Presbyterian/Queens Hospital in stable condition. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 111th Precinct Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck Bayside bar robber gets cuff ed A local man has been cuff ed for allegedly robbing a Bayside bartender at gunpoint in February, police said. Peter Pocius, a 38-year-old resident of 209th Street, has been charged with fi rst-degree robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to a Feb. 27 incident at J.D.’s Saloon, located at 208-11 35th Ave. Following the incident, the 35-yearold male bartender on duty told authorities from the 111th Precinct that the perpetrator entered the saloon at around 3:11 a.m. Th e suspect proceeded to the bar counter, displayed a fi rearm and demanded cash.
