Exp. 6/30/16 CUTLER’S LIGHTING CUTLER’S LIGHTING NEW BOYS & GIRLS CLUB BOSS HOPES TO KEEP IT MOVING FORWARD BY RE GGIE DEBRAH [email protected] @QueensCourier The Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens in Richmond Hill is a very important part of the south Queens community, helping children between the ages of 5 and 18 from low-income communities. Such an important program will require a strong leader who truly cares about the program and the children that depend on the program. Fortunately, John DeCristoforo, the new Boys & Girls Club’s chief executive officer, fulfills those requirements. DeCristoforo has created a phenomenal resume by working for Greenville Boys & Girls Club, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross and American Lung Association. Before Joining the Boys & Girls Club, DeCristoforo worked for United Cerebral Palsy of Suffolk, where his work as director of development and public relations qualifies him to oversee the fundraising and marketing of the Boys & Girls Clubs. DeChristoforo has been highly praised by board president Joseph Liana. In the announcement that named DeChristoforo as CEO of the Boys & Girls Club, Liana emphasized on how delighted the agency was to have DeChristoforo on board. “John as the strategic planning, marketing and board and resource development experience that will enable our club to continue its growth and increase the impact on the children and families we serve,” Liana said. DeChristoforo also showed how much he cared for the children of the program during an interview with The Courier. He talked about the importance of making the program more well-known in the community in order to help reach out to more children in the area. “We’re helping the kids that need us the most in the community. We provide a tremendous resource for children and families in the greater Queens community,” DeChristoforo said. The Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens gives children a safe place to learn and develop while also help them stay off the street. It reaches out to some neighborhoods such as Ozone Park, Howard Beach, Kew Gardens and even some parts of Brooklyn. 77 CLEANING, LLC A Green Clean Company • Home and Offi ce Cleaning • Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning • Move In/Move Out • Yard and Garden Clean-Ups • Power Washing • Windows cleaned SPRING TIME CLEANING  We use only Green and Environmentally Safe Cleaning Products!  We Serve All 5 Boroughs HOURS: 8 AM – 6 PM 7- DAYS FIRST TIME CUSTOMER SPECIAL!
