After a 9 a.m. mass, at St. Anselm’s Church, Fourth Avenue and 82nd Street, players, coaches and supporters joined together to march to Fort Hamilton High School field, where a ceremony followed the parade. “I think the parade went very well,” noted Andi Gruber from St. Anselm Youth Activities. “Every year it seems to be a sunny bright shining day we really enjoy. “I think that the children are so excited to have something spring-like happen like baseball,” Gruber added. “The game started right after the parade and they were all excited to get out there and play.” Claudia Osorio bats and Luke Johnston is behind the plate. Nick Caputo is the pitcher. Monsignor John Maloney throws out the first ball.
