On Saturday, June 11, Puppetsburg will perform two shows; free facepainting will be offered between their performances. Then on Sunday, come back to watch the “Princess Particular” show presented by Long Island City’s very own Secret Theatre. On both days, moms and dads can shop for cool children’s threads from Rabbit on the Moon, Mizudama and Kamari Kids. Pick up cool, upcycled furniture for your kids from Doreen’s Crafts; grab a handmade piñata and party décor from Jessica V Art; surprise them with a handcrafted skateboard from By Andreas; and delight them at bathtime with a bath bomb from Time Weavers. As always, there’s lots of good grub for kids of all ages to enjoy, like the cult favorite mac ‘n’ cheese empanadas from Jessys Pastries, amazing empanadas from Whats the Dillaz, handcut fresh fries from Bulldog Burgery and a fruit bowl from Shaka Bowls. Great sweets like waffle cones and ices from The Dessert Kitchen, Sweetface Snoballs New Orleans’ ices, artsinal twinkies from Jae NYC, Craic Brownies, Sweet Dames Macaroons and Lezzetli Ice Cream have flavors that will knock your (and your kids’) socks off! The LIC Flea and Food market is located at 5-26 40th Rd. in LIC, within walking distance of the Court Square-23rd Street subway station.
