Crowds turned out for the annual march dedicated to Queens’ LGBT community, which was led this year by grand marshals Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras-Copeland, Outright Action International Executive Director Jessica Stern and the Queens County AIDS Center. Mayor Bill de Blasio was also a guest of honor at the event, waving the rainbow flag while leading a delegation of city officials. An array of entertainers — including musicians, marching bands, cheerleaders, drag performers and dancers — participated in the march along 37th Avenue from 89th Street westward to 75th Street. The parade led into the Pride Festival, which featured food vendors and musicians including singer Crystal Waters.
