The best of all worlds will collide
in January as the first ever Best of
Brooklyn Food and Beer Festival
gears up to take over Industry City.
The foodie-friendly event –
which will showcase the best of the
best in both food and drink – comes
on the heels of this year’s Best of
Brooklyn competition, hosted by
Brooklyn Media Group, publisher of
BrooklynReporter.com, Brokelyn.
com, The Home Reporter, Brooklyn
Spectator and Spectator News and
several other local outlets.
In the competition, now in
its fifth year, over 45,000 voters
crowned more than 100 winners in
categories like Best Bar, Best Burger,
Best Happy Hour and more, in a
borough which is now known worldwide
for the quality and originality
of its culinary offerings.
Now, you’ll have your chance to
see those winning vendors – and
taste their wares – in one place,
Sunset Park’s Industry City.
The festival will take place on
Saturday, January 28 from 12:30
to 8 p.m. at 220 36th Street. Tickets
are available for two sessions: I
(12:30 to 2:30 p.m.) and II (3:30 to
5:30 p.m.) plus an After Party (6 to
8 p.m.)
Both sessions offer early bird
tickets that allow entrance a half an
hour prior to opening, as well as a
souvenir tasting glass. VIP Beer Enthusiast
tickets are also available for
both sessions, and include early-bird
hours, other perks, entertainment
and games, a souvenir tasting glass
and a copy of the Brooklyn Beer
Book.

RESTAURANTS
Bean Post Pub
www.beanpostpub.com
The Bean Post Pub in Bay Ridge is the
kind of laid back bar where you want
to hang out with friends. They’ve got
one thing over other area pubs: beer.
Their Beer Bible offers an almost
overwhelming choice of suds, including
50+ bottles and 21 different drafts. Oh,
yeah, and they’ve got amazing wings
that come in 28 flavors and styles. Plus
sliders, 150 types of liquor, 17 flat screen
TVs... OK, we lied. They have like 100
things over other pubs.
Paesano On 13th
www.paesanoon13th.com
Paesano’s is the breakfast and lunch
spot in Dyker Heights. This familyowned
cafe has a massive selection of
bagels and toppings, Lavazza coffee,
omelets, burgers, panini and many other
classic Italian and American favorites.
And the best part? The prices! And
everything is available for hang out, take
out or delivery. Get there early before
the Cassatelle — incredible ricotta cream
and chocolate turnovers made in-store
– run out.
Dinosaur BBQ
www.dinosaurbarbque.com
You must have heard about Dinosaur
Bar-B-Que by now, especially after their
Brooklyn outpost opened on Union
Street in 2013. You’ve definitely heard of
the legendary sauces, perfectly cooked
ribs, pulled pork and steaks. What you
may not have known is they began as
a mobile grill, first at the huge Harley
Rendezvous upstate, then all over as
they followed motorcycle shows and
festivals. Anyone who can keep bikers
happy must know what they’re doing.
Audrey’s Concerto
Audrey’s Concerto is a French-Asian
fusion bakery and cafe located in
Bay Ridge. In a market crowded with
bakeries and cupcake shops, Audrey’s
Concerto stands out with strange, tasty
treats like matcha lava cake and cayenne
chocolate mousse. Audrey has very
successfully merged two cuisines you
would never think go together, which
is why concerto is the perfect name for
such a unique, irresistible gem.
