IT'S JUST A GAME: A 31-year-old man was hit in the face with an unknown object while arguing about sports teams at a bar at 87th Street and Fifth Avenue on Saturday, April 22 at around 11 p.m. According to police reports, the victim and a 60-year-old man got into an argument over sports. The assailant then smacked the other man with the object, injuring his lips and cheek. Following the assault, the perp fled the scene in a pickup truck. UNWELCOME VISITOR: A home on Bay Ridge Avenue between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue was broken into while the resident, a 38-year-old woman, was inside on Monday, April 17. Reports claim that at around 10:30 p.m., the woman saw a male burglar enter the front window facing the street. Cops say he stole her laptop from the living room table, ran out and fled southbound towards Ridge Boulevard from Bay Ridge Avenue. No arrests have been made. THIEF STEAL DIABETIC TESTING MACHINE: A Sudoscan machine used for testing diabetics and other items were stolen from a vehicle parked in a lot near Third Avenue and 77th Street sometime between Wednesday, April 18 at around 7 p.m. and the following morning around 9 a.m. When the vehicle's owner returned, he saw that the passenger side window had been shattered and the machine worth around $1,000, along with $50 and an iPod had been taken. The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend. BEATDOWN: A 27-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown perp inside a billiards club on McDonald Avenue between Avenue P and Quentin Road on Sunday, April 23 at around 3 a.m. Reports claim that following an argument, the man was punched in the face by an unknown man, whereupon a group of other men joined in to hit him and stabbed him with an unknown object, causing swelling, bleeding, puncture wounds on his back and scratches. The victim was transported to Coney Island Hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made. INSULT TO INJURY: A 25-year-old man was beat up and robbed by two men while walking home along Avenue T and West Seventh Street on Thursday, April 20 at around 6:05 p.m. Reports say that the unknown perps came from behind with an unknown object and warned the victim not to move. One of the men reached into his pockets and nabbed his iPhone and leather wallet. Afterwards, he was hit from behind and the assailants fled the scene. TWO COWARDS NAB PURSE: Two men robbed a 56-year-old woman while she was walking along Bay 40th Street between Benson and Bath Avenues on Friday, April 21 at around 8:55 a.m. Reports claim that while one of the suspects distracted her, the other stole her purse, which contained $500 and identification, off her shoulder and ran in an unknown direction. HOT WHEELS: A 20-year-old man had all four of his tires and rims stolen from his vehicle after parking it on Shore Parkway near 17th Avenue on Sunday, April 23 at around 10:30 p.m. Reports claim that when the owner returned to the vehicle, it was resting on two concrete blocks and the driver’s side of the vehicle had been damaged. STABBER ARRESTED: A 65-year-old man was arrested for possession of a weapon and allegedly stabbing a 65-yearold man inside a bodega at 51st Street and Sixth Avenue on Tuesday, April 18 at around 5 p.m. According to reports, the defendant swiped the victim with a black knife, resulting in cuts to the head. The victim was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment. The following day at around 12:10 p.m., an officer spotted the alleged assailant on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street and arrested him. He was in possession of the weapon. CREEP ATTACKS, ROBS 60-YEAR-OLD WOMAN: A 60-year-old woman was attached and robbed by a man when walking on the northwest corner of Eighth Avenue and 56th Street on Tuesday, April 18 at 12:30 p.m. Police say the woman was walking home when an unknown male robber came from behind and yanked her chain, worth $900, off her neck, causing scratches. The man then fled westbound on 55th Street towards Seventh Avenue. WATCH OUT FOR THAT SPEAKER: A 41-year-old man assaulted a 54-year-old man after he threw a speaker at his face inside an apartment on 44th Street near Seventh Avenue on Monday, April 24 at around 8 p.m. According to reports, after a verbal confrontation, the perp, who was the victim’s roommate, threw the equipment at him, breaking his nose. He then pushed him to the bed and bit him in the arm and back, causing him to bleed. The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment. No arrests have been made. ROLL OF THE DICE: A 34-year-old woman was arrested by officers for her part in promoting illegal gambling inside an internet café near Seventh Avenue and 57th Street on Thursday, April 13 at around 10:40 p.m. Cops say the defendant, who was a custodian of the establishment, said she paid patrons based on a point system at the conclusion of an arcade style game. She also failed to display valid business certificates of occupancy and an amusement arcade license. POLICE BEAT Compiled by Jaime DeJesus COPS SEEK FOUR SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN CONEY ISLAND ASSAULT Cops are searching for four suspects in an assault that took place in Coney Island on Sunday, April 16 at around 6 p.m. According to police, it was then that a 16 year-old male teen was walking near 3205 West 12th Street when several attackers, described in reports as black males, got into a verbal dispute with him, which resulted in a fight. The perps struck and kicked the victim about the head and body several times. Six individuals have been arrested and charged. The four individuals still sought by police are described as four male blacks, one wearing a white t-shirt and dark color pants; one wearing a tank-top, black pants and white sneakers; another wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers; and another wearing a white t-shirt, gray pants and white bandanna. The victim was transported to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was listed in serious but stable condition. He sustained a small puncture to his lung with cuts and bruising to his face and torso.
