Jack “Sure thing” Lally began strategically moving the South team down ield. He was met with unyielding defense by Thomas Robert Fegan, Dennis “Hulk” Urena, Gabriel “Meat Grinder” Ferguson and Steven Perez. Lally got three fi rst downs and busted through the North line to draw fi rst blood. Louis ‘No Way” Martinez used his kicking skills to get two extra points to the south cause. The North took possession but failed to capitalize on it. Mario Orlando, Brady Quinn and Ethan Velez gave the North only four chances to advance and they failed. The South line made a major push to the right while “Sure Thing” Lally swept to the le and charged to pay dirt. Jaylis Cruz took the hando and went in for the extra point, making it 15-zip, South. Charles “Rocket” Kitsakos rallied his team and made two fi rst downs. He then rolled le , breaking a few tackles and went in for the fi rst North score. A er the South failed on their possession, the “Rocket” went to work. He used Jacob Rodriguez, David Rivera and Adel “Guardian” Odeh to get within scoring position. He then zigzagged his way through the South’s defenses to score the second North touchdown. It was 15-12, South when the two-minute was warning given. Cruz and Lally took turns quarterbacking for the South to no avail. They were hammered by Rodriguez, Urena, David Rivera and especially Donavan Nunez. He made two solo tackles and assisted in a third. The South was stopped dead in their tracks because of their enormous e orts. The North failed to reach the end zone in the second half and their 12 points were all she wrote at game’s end. The South scored twice, once by Lally in an up-the-middle power play and the other by Cruz. The South completed the game with a 27-12 advantage over the North. Outstanding efforts by Martinez, Quinn, Saad Sandhu, Urena, Fegan, Perez, Rivera, Orlando, Velez and Ivan Garcia made this an exciting gridiron event.
