BROOKLYN MEDIA GROUP MAY 26 - JUNE 1, 2017 19 THE BREEZY POINT STAR Danny Kabbez, an 11-year-old fi fth grader at Saint Patrick's Catholic Academy, helps the less fortunate. What are some of the things you do for the community? I joined the Lemonade Coalition. We clean up Shore Road Park and donate things to those who are less fortunate. It feels good to give to kids that don’t have many toys because I have a lot. I’ve been doing it for two years. Another thing I do every year is make about a dozen gi boxes fi lled with a bunch of supplies, and bring them to the Salvation Army for the men and women that use their facilities. How does it make you feel to give back? Who are your inspirations? It makes me feel great to give back. We live in a wonderful community and it’s important to keep it that way. I look up to my mom and dad. My mom is very active in Bay Ridge and my dad also does a lot for the community. What are your favorite subjects and hobbies? My favorite subject is social studies because it tells me about what happened back then. I love to play sports. My favorite is hockey. I also play soccer and swimming. What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be an inventor one day. I like drones and I’d like to create some.
