RIDGEWOOD SAVINGS BANK, ISLANDERS MAKE DONATIONS
In keeping with its motto to ‘Multiply the Good,’ Ridgewood Savings Bank presented $24,000 on Friday, April 12 to two local charities Mercy Haven, a nonprofi t housing and supportive
services organization, and New York Crusaders, a nonprofi t sports organization – as part of the bank’s partnership with the New York Islanders.

CITY COUNCIL HONORS DR. ROSCOE C. BROWN
CITY COUNCIL HOSTS INAUGURAL HACK-A-THON
Approximately 100 middle and high schools from across NYC held a friendly competition at
City Council Chambers in which student teams used open data including 311 data from their
school neighborhoods to address issues impacting their own communities.

SALAMANCA JOINS DON’T STRESS, EAT FRESH
Councilman Rafael Salamanca joined BRONX Health Reach and La Mina Mini Market to learn
about their ‘Don’t Stress, Eat Fresh’ campaign, a healthy bodega marketing campaign aimed to
provide consumers with a more fresh and healthier option when shopping at the local bodega.

FREE TAX PREP
During the last two months many constituents have been helped with Free Tax Preparation
in Councilman Mark Gjonaj’s District Offi ce with help from Urban Upbound.
