RAIN Boston Secor Community Center celebrated International Women’s Day on Friday,
March 8 at 3540 Bivona Street. Sponsored by Healthfi rst, the event featured special guest
Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez and live performances by Waka Waka (This Time or
Africa) choreography by Manuel Diana, role play by elders ‘Thoughts’ directed by Damion
Anthony, live music, food and raffl es.

PROJECT DESTINED HOSTS
BRONX CHAMPIONSHIP
Project Destined hosted its Bronx Championship, a high stakes competition where fi ve
teams comprised of local high school and college students presented real estate concepts
refl ecting their vision for the Bronx with developments including affordable, multi-family
housing, mixed-use public spaces, a boutique hotel and reatil and fi tness concepts, on
Saturday, March 2. The shark-tank style panel of judges included Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez,
legendary baseball player and A-Rod Corp founder; Ric Clark, Brookfi eld Properties senior
managing partner and chairman; Bough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; Mark Tatum, NBA Deputy
Commissioner and COO; Diana Olick, Emmy-award winning journalist and CNBC real estate
reporter and Cedric Bobo and Fred Greene, Project Destined co-founders.
